Q:Would this work to secure a #3 grommet (which is about 7/16th hole size)? I don't need it to cut the fabric, only to fuse the upper and lower grommet pieces together. Thanks!

    A:  Steel grommets will rust and using them will be harder on the tool, but it will probably work.

        A:  I know this answer is not getting posted. The question inquires about whether or not a specific item is in stock. HD sends me the question. Maybe I should fill out a job application. The answer to this question is that I DON"T HANDLE THESE, and I don't know if HD does or not. Maybe you could call and get put on hold.

          A:  Brass does not rust. If these rusted, then what you did wrong was to believe the packaging label. The copper in brass will oxidize or corrode in the presence of bleach. I suspect that this is what happened.
