A:  You would need to take out the remote receiver in the canopy and wire directly to house power. If you do that then you need a speed control on the wall switch position to get speeds.

A:  The remote has a dimming function. You cannot use the remote and a dimmer switch both.

A:  The receiver should have two input lines, red and black, for two switches. The remote has a memory function so whatever command you have the fan set to per remote when you click power on/off at the wall it will remember. If cutting the circuit at the wall this delay is sometimes normal. It should not do that when using the remote.
