A: The 2” will cut the same as the 1.25” so you only need the 2” however, the 1.25” is a little smaller so if you are working in a tight space, then the smaller one is an option but I would not buy it unless you need it.
A: Yes, to cut larger diameter pipe!
A: Yes the 2” cutter will cut all the dimensions that the 1-1/4” will cut. The 1-14” is more compact and easier to use, and most PEX pipe & PVC pipe sold is smaller than 1-1/4” in diameter. Hope this helps!!
A: Well ! Really no much but I think we need anything more easy I’m electrician and my fingers has pain after to use
A: This tool is not difficult but it does require the user to apply pressure to squeeze the cutter properly.
A: You’ll be fine,
A: It is pretty easy to use. You should be fine. I use Small sized gloves and it is quite okay for me.
A: I usually put the curved-in side of the handle on my leg and push the down with my hand on the other side. This method also works to sit the cutter on a flat surface. Just be sure to keep your fingers on the hand you are pushing down with out straight so you don't pinch them in the handle.
A: This Husky cutter is only rated for schedule 40, schedule 80 pipe has much thicker walls for handling higher psi or even chemicals. The cutter will work if your patient and understand that it is going to be slower and take more force than schedule 40 pipe. Hope this helps!!
A: Replacement blades are available at all Home Depot Stores. SKU is 1003002896 and the retail is $8.78. If you wish to look it up and order online, type 304228784 into the search bar on homedepot.com Hope this helps!!!
A: No, mine did the same thing. Return it if you still can.
A: The blade for this item is not supposed to pop out. It has a thumb slide on the top of the blade that locks it in place. If that mechanism has debris in it, or is not functioning correctly simply take the cutter to the nearest Home Depot and they’ll be happy to swap it out. The item has been available at Home Depot for 4 years and this has not been a problem. Hope this helps!!
A: No
A: It will crush it if you are not careful. You will need to score the pipe by rotating the tool and letting the blade cut into the pvc as much as possible.
A: The key to cutting thin wall is patience. If you squeeze, or ratchet to fast you can crack the pipe. Take your time and you should be fine. Hope this helps!!
A: I tried it on a tail piece 1.25 inch thin wall and it shattered it. I would not recommend for that use.
A: Place the pipe into the cutter, engage the handles until the blade barely cuts into the pipe, rotate pipe until it is scored all the way around, then it will cut it evenly
A: yes it does, just have to be gentle . But it cuts great
A: Yes, I used it on the thinner wall PVC for my central vac system
A: Yes but a more important question is how many times before it gets dull and start crushing. I used mine on 1-1/2" schedule 40 and it was dull after about 5 cuts.
A: Husky tools come with a lifetime warranty. If it fails just bring it back to Home Depot, and they will replace it. Can't beat that !!
A: This cutter has the Husky lifetime warranty. Home Depot also stocks the replacement blades in case it eventually dulls. Blades are not covered under the warranty. Hope this helps!!
A: I was told by an associate of HD that if I bought a "Husky" pvc cutter, or any other "Husky" product and if it ever failed, return it to the HD you bought it from, and they'll replace it no questions. I always kept my receipts in a jar just in case.. Also, they're durable, cut straight and true..., just do not try and exceed the size pvc pipe that particular Husky says is the maximum it will cut, or you'll find out real quick how that Husky warranty is.
A: I believe the cutter you are showing here is the 1-1/4 in. Ratcheting PVC Cutter. I believe this PVC cutter comes with a lifetime warranty. You can check this link for all the warranty information for this and other Husky tools https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/ef/efe99a92-20a8-4b13-8afc-67e0e2aea34e.pdf
A: Lol. Yes. It will cut (plastic) pipe that is up to one inch and a quarter in diameter.
A: Yes, one of the best tool for cutting PVC, I was able to complete e lot of projects with it.
A: Yes. And much larger.
A: yes
A: Yes, this cutter will cut up to 1-1/4” pvc pipe. Hope this helps!
A: Yes, the Husky Ratcheting PVC Cutter will cut ABS pipe. Hope this helps!!
A: It will easily cut any non-metal pipe that it can get around.
A: That is what I used it on. No problem.
A: Probably if it's the same thickness as pvc. I have used my cutter on many projects and love it.
A: I didn't use it for ABS but I believe it will.
A: I would remove the blade, then re-install and make sure it is fitting firmly into the locking mechanism. Secondly, try and make sure the cut starts straight with the pipe level in the cradle. We have very few problems with this particular product not cutting straight, however this is a Husky tool and if the issue persist feel free to run it by your local Home Depot and we would be glad to swap it out. Hope this helps!!
A: You might can take it apart and make a shim to put next to the cutter blade.
A: The cutter cuts as straight as you hold the pipe/tubing. My cutter has very little side to side slop and works well for it's design uses.
