Q:Can I mount a Drill Press on this Husky Portable Workbench?

Answer This Question
A: You might be able to mount a small drill press on this table -- perhaps a 5" drill press, or even an 8" drill press, but I think that might be pushing it. I have a Rockwell Runner X2 table saw (jigsaw) mounted on mine, and it has held up well for more than two years. It's rated to hold a fairly heavy load -- 1500 lbs -- but you might want to mount the drill press to a piece of 3/4" plywood to distribute the load over a greater area than if you just plunked it down onto the plastic surface.

Q:Is there a list of comparable routers for this table?

Answer This Question
A: While there is no definitive list, it comes predrilled for most routers. It appears that you can custom drill and countersink it to fit any router that is not pre drilled.

A: I have the Dewalt DW616 that I use with this table. I also bought a mid level router fence from rockler. Table works great, is light to move around. I use it when working away from my shop.

Answer This Question
A: The top is made from some kind of plastic. It does not appear to be heat resistant. I would not use it as a welding table or anything of that nature.
by|Nov 15, 2022
A: Resistant - yes. Some kind of composite of plastic.
by|Mar 5, 2024
A: I would say mildly heat resistant. I would not weld on it. It appears to be made of a plastic resin, very durable.
by|Nov 16, 2022
A: Well, I can actually say it depends on what kind of heat you're talking about. You need to be more specific. But the top is made of plastic and I'm not sure what type of plastic but it's very strong. I doubt it's very highly heat resistant.. I hope that answers your question.
