A:  Our PVC panels are not necessarily designed for soundproofing because it is a hard plastic.

A:  There are many other materials better suited for application near the heat of a wood stove. Although PVC is not highly flammable, it would be susceptible to distortion above 140 degrees F, and this temperature could easily be reached near a wood stove. Drywall, ceramic tile, metal, Formica, and other such materials would be a superior choice near elevated temperatures.

A:  Hello, We do not recommend placing the slatwall near any heat sources as this can warp and even melt the pvc.

A:  The slatwall itself has some flexibility as you bend it a bit to install it in the trim channels. I would say it slightly flexible, so the bend in your wall would need to be slight and gradual. I would also say the trim pieces are even less flexible and if you purchased just one of the u-channel trim pieces, you would be able to tell from that alone if it would work. If the trim had enough bend in it for your wall, I think it would work.

A:  Don’t know; it’s plastic so prolonged exposure to direct sunlight over a substantial period of time may affect the coloration.
