Questions and Answers for RoomMates Blue Distressed Wood Vinyl Peel & Stick Wallpaper Roll (Covers 28.18 Sq. Ft.)

A:  I used it in a hallway and had to use spray adhesive with it several times. I ended up spraying one last time and running small trim around the edges to keep it from falling off. If I had to do it again I would use heavier duty glue or even wallpaper glue. For use in a bathroom area I would definitely install it with wallpaper glue. I do like the product. It was easy to put up and looks nice, just doesn't stick that well. Wipes off easily if needed.

A:  Good question... I haven't had to deal with repair or non stick issues... but then again it's on a kitchen island... for the price I think its worth the try! The best part is that is easy to clean. Sorry... hope that helped!

A:  We do not recommend this to be put in the shower area but in the bathroom yes. It depends on the individual bathroom and how it is vented as too if it will stick or not.

A:  I do not have it in a bathroom, but I am impressed with it's wherewithal to stay stuck to a ceiling. I put fresh paint under it just in case it fell down and it shows no signs of falling one-year later. The clean surface probably did help. I have it on a wall too--same reliability so far. Back in the day, if you did something like this it was contact paper for kitchen shelves and never stuck very well. This is world better from those old craft project attempts.

A:  All my bathrooms have the peel and stick wallpaper and I have not had any issues with it not sticking.

A:  No, you don't have to overlap. But it up to the first layer and you will not be able to see the seam.

A:  Yes I would suggest overlapping ever so slightly. I had it lined up but after a few days it seemed as if it all shrunk a tiny bit and there are slight gaps now. Thankfully it’s a rustic print so it looks ok but I would suggest to over lap a small amount

A:  I guess you could but I did not over lap . It was fairly easy to line up next to the last sheet.

A:  No, the sections do not need to be overlapped when installing the wallpaper.

A:  .. I absolutely love the look of the finished project! BUT... I would NEVER use it again- It was absolutely HORRIBLE to work with .. We had to completely sand the texture off of the wall - and- since we hung it horizontally, it was very difficult to work with - especially with the reach over the countertop and sinks... UGH Have hung tons of wallpaper - but NOTHING like this-

A:  no special prep for wall other than to have dry and clean. texture will show thru

A:  Just make sure your wall is free of dust and dirt. Anything underneath will show some. In my kitchen I used this paper behind the stove, as my back splash. I covered a very heavily detail tile that was from the eighties. For me to remove the tile was cost prohibitive. I chose to cover with paper. It did a very nice job. Tile underneath does not show very much at all. The only thing I notice is there is a small diamond shape accent tile in btween the large tiles. If the day light is shining directly on this wall I can just make out the shape. However, I do not think anyone else would notice. I do hope this will help.

A:  Our peel and stick Wallpaper can only be used on smooth flat surface. This will not adhere a textured wall. You may smooth the wall down but its best if you add a primer to the wall before applying this paper.

A:  I don’t remember if the instruction said to but I wiped my wall with a wipe wash cloth and then let it dry. You couldn’t see texture through it but my edges ended up peeling up...

A:  We just cleaned the walls with simple wet towels and dried with dry towel. Our wall didn't have a texture so not sure if it would show through. It is a good product though, easy to install, my teenager did it with her friend and it has been up for along time and looks great.

A:  No, you get 28.18 square feet on a roll. I just ordered a second roll today.

A:  I don't believe so. I ordered it without seeing it. I was not disappointed. Many friends thought it was actual wood.

A:  We do not recommend this to be put on counter tops. Too much water will work the paper and will not adhere.

A:  in my opinion In would say no, because if you were to accidently cut into, it will be hard to fix. i just used it for my back splash and I Love it there.easy to put up and if you need to take it off it comes right off now mess. hope this helps you.

A:  Yes I used it on my coffee bar and my back splash. It washes great and it’s surface doesn’t soak in the water. I put it directly over my existing tile looks wonderful, easy to install, and low maintenance.

A:  No, as this product is wallpaper it should not be applied to countertops.

A:  It's fairly durable but not to be used on countertops. It will wear and tear if used as a countertop cover.

A:  I don’t think so... it could melt with a hot pan and a knife could cut through it.

A:  No, I would not recommend using this on a counter top.... maybe a backsplash.

A:  The plank pattern is side-to-side rather than up and down.

A:  the product follows the length. you can customize it how you choose.

A:  Length, however, you can cut the roll any way you like.

A:  I don't think it would hold up very well. I would try to copy this distressed wood look with paint, and then clear coat over it. If you don't like how it turns out, just paint over it with white paint, and lightly sand areas to bring out the colors underneath.

A:  We do not recommend these to be put on steps.

A:  It varies from 2 1/2 inches to 3 1/2 inches.

A:  They vary, with the smallest 2 1/8", the largest 2 3/4".

A:  Not a plank... it's a roll of contact paper... I have received tons of compliments!

A:  The planks vary from 1.5 inches, 2 inches, 3 inches. Not all roles are the same print. Therefore it was challenging seamlessly continuing the same size plank.

A:  The individual board planks are all varied. They are purposely stagnated to give a look of being more natural and not uniformed. Some boards are 3 1/2 " Some are 3 inches. Smallest is 2 1/2 inches except for the overlap board on one end. It is 1 3/4 inch wide. 8 boards total. They do look great. Hope this helps.

A:  The Boards measure 2 1/2 inches wide. I Love this product so easy to use! Just one thing ,you need to use a ruler to make sure the lines of the boards are straight because they are rustic looking. Hope that helps.

A:  They are about 2.5 to 3 inches wide. I used this on a sliding closet door and it held up great! Close up it looks like paper but it fools a lot of people at first glance.
