Hey Mike, No, Square D QO type breakers only fit QO panels, and no other brands. Since Murray is owned by Siemens, you can use a Siemens breaker for it to fit properly. However, if this is going to be inspected, I would suggest you to use a Murray brand breaker for consistency's sake. Joseph

I would suggest that you have an additional circuit added for the space heater so as to not overload the wiring. If you simply change to a higher value breaker to avoid tripping, the wire will be too small typically and could, most likely would become, a serious fire hazard!

This sounds like you may be referring to the plug on stabs that connect to the bus of the load center installed in your home however you may not want to proceed with just simply replacing a smaller breaker with a larger ampacity simply to stop the breaker from tripping. When the breaker was originally sized and installed, 20A may have been selected because that may have been all that the wiring in the walls can handle. If you are continually tripping your breakers, you may want to consult a qualified electrician to evaluate why the breaker is always tripping. You may be overloading the circuit, or alternately there could be an issue not visible to the naked untrained eye. I am not saying this is the case in your home but essentially you may be creating a fire hazard if you install a larger 30A breaker and the circuit can not handle that load. Please be advised that we can not evaluate this situation for you and it would be best for the safety of you and your family to have an electrician take a look for you. Please also be advised that consulting an electrician may incur costs out of Schneider Electric's control and responsibility. With that being said, if you still require additional assistance locating the proper model breaker, or installing it please feel free to reach out to us once you have determined it is safe for you to increase the ampacity of that circuit. We can be reached at CIC-Technical@schneider-electic.com, or alternately call us from 8a to 8p ET at 888-778-2733.

Make sure your panel is a style 'QO' to match the Sq D QO style single pole breaker. Also, beware not to install a breaker sized larger than the ampacity of the connecting wiring. DonR

By replacing your 20 amp breaker with a 30 amp breaker you are not only creating a fire hazard, but you are also creating a code violation. The NEC limits general use 120 volt receptacle circuits to no more than 20 amps.
