              Answer This Question

A:  Will Thank you for your inquiry. Yes you can cut drywall and still use it on a project. Use the score and snap method to cut drywall. Score through paper and lightly into the core. Wear a glove on your holding hand to protect you from cutting your hand. To break the panel core, securely grasp the board edges on both sides of the score line and snap board with a quick, firm movement. Use utility knife with sharp blade for scoring. Complete cutting by running knife through back paper for the length of the panel and snapping back to face.

                  Answer This Question

A:  It is exactly as described above, 1 piece. It is perfect for repairing patch holes in existing drywall. I use it all the time since many electrical and pipe repairs require a small hole in the drywall to fix the problem and some mesh tape and a small piece of drywall to cover the hole. A little joint compound and the wall is repaired.

Q:Can you use this to double up an existing drywall ceiling with something like green glue and then just cover the panels with some sort of decorative faux wood? I was thinking this could be used as a diy double drywall project for noise reduction

A:  Al Our Drywall Patching panel must be mechanically fastened to the ceiling. We do not have a recommendation for gluing them up as layers to improve noise reduction.
