We have alot of bedrock and alot of wild flowers and weeds so it's been difficult to be able to grow. I'm so glad we took the time and chance to get this stuff. It's killed ALL the weeds in our yard,flower garden and our vegetable garden. I'm blown away. A must have for all gardeners, especially in the south!

Hope and it works really well where I can purchase some more!! Maybe it will keep the unwanted grass out of the way!! Soon as the rain is over this week I will start spraying the yard!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every spring I have the task of spraying all the pesky weeds or whatnot and this spring I chose to use BioAdvanced Southern Weed Killer for Lawns. It comes ready to spray, no mixing involved, just how I like it! It was easy to attach the sprayer and it worked on the first try, thankfully! I like that it has two settings to choose from because that comes in handy when spraying near plants that I do not want it to touch. It also works quickly which allows me to see the areas I may have missed as soon as the next day! In only three days I cleared all the weeds out of one of my garden areas and now I’m ready to plant! I’m very satisfied with this product & will continue to use it, I also highly recommend it!

I have been using this product for a very long time. I thought I remembered the red dye. I have alway had great results, but this last bottle (the manual spray) didn't seem to get all of the weeds on the strip of lawn on the out side of the sidewalk.

I also used it on my flower beds and inside tree rings. I would recommend this to my friends, family and neighbors. I do have to say that I enjoyed not having to add water and think about ratios. ready to go

The sprayer is easy to work with and the product did work well however, I am giving it 4 stars because it seemed like it took a little while longer to work and kill than previous brands I've tried. Would repurchase again though.

He will only use the best of the best products - after some intense research, he found that this product contained the right chemicals recommended by professionals to do the job. We are very pleased with the results after just couple days of spraying the weeds were gone!! And my husband is happy!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nothing's more unsightly than a bunch of weeds growing in your garden or in cracks in the driveway. A little goes a long way with this spreader. It is ready to use right out the bottle and works rather quickly. I noticed results a few days after application and continue to see the weeds break down and vanish.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy with this weed killer. It comes in a large jug so you may put it in a smaller if necessary. The wind doesn't affect it. There is not a chemical smell. As soon as I sprayed the weeds within about an hour they were starting to die. This is a great product. It did not hurt any of the plants around where sprayed either

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was using the Southern Weed Killer for Lawns Ready-to-Use from Bio-Advance for over 2 weeks. I see such a beautiful lawn now. I didn’t think there was any hope for my lawn cause it was full of weeds. However this weed killer did the trick. Those pesky dandelions are gone. This Southern weed killer got rid of the weeds and did not harm my lawn at all. It is so convenient and easy to use, no mixing or anything just spray and in a few days the weeds died off . It has been 2 weeks and they didn’t return either. Maintaining my lawn has never been this easy. I highly recommend this to all my friends and family

I used this product with the garden hose attachment on my front yard, which is about 6000 sq ft. You would have to be Usain Bolt in order to actually cover the 16000 sq ft that the product says it will cover. I thought I was careful to not apply to much product to any one spot. Good thing I didn't get both the front yard and back yard done, because everywhere this product was applied is now dying. I've lived in this house for 18 years, and as far as I'm concerned I have St. Augustine grass. Like most people, I'm not exactly sure what the difference is between Floratam and St. Augustine grass. I've had good success with several Bayer products, but I am very disappointed with this one. My biggest regret, I wish I would have read all of these poor reviews prior to applying. For the novice that isn't sure of what type of lawn they have, please do a spot check and wait two weeks to see results before doing your whole yard.

I have a Raleigh St. Augustine lawn in the Houston, TX area, and I applied this product as post-emergent weed killer several weeks ago. The weeds are all dead or dying, and the grass is taking over and growing in nicely. Very happy with the results. I can't help but think many of the critiques of this product from dissatisfied customers must be mainly from Florida residents, including several who appear to have Floratam St. Augustine lawns or do not know what variety of St. Augustine grass they have. Because the label clearly states this product should not be used on Floratam lawns, you should be certain of your St. Augustine variety before purchasing your selected weed killer ... Floratam St. Augustine is very common in Florida, and I would be very cautious using this product in that state. One reviewer stated that he read on the internet that 2, 4-d, D, M herbicides should not be applied to St. Augustine ... he could not be more wrong, as this and similar hormone herbicides have long been considered ideal for southern lawns, and one only need browse the various research from southern university extensions (Clemson, Georgia, Texas A&M etc) to see that they all recommend 2, 4-d herbicides for post-ermergent weed control. I am guessing also that most reviewers improperly mixed and/or overapplied the herbicide and failed to follow the product instructions properly. I used the spray bottle version of this product, and my only criticism is that it dispenses very quickly ... you have to walk at a relatively quick pace and avoid overlapping the spray field to cover the area recommended on the packaging. I walked slower and overlapped the fields, and ended up applying nearly double the recommended amount on my lawn. I feared the worst, but fortunately saw no negative side effects from the overapplication ... I suspect the rain and cool weather in the days following application helped prevent any potential damage to my lawn.

Used this for three seasons with good results. Most of the reviewers here have probably not read the directions and mixed it incorrectly. Clearly used too much product. 1 ounce per gallon of water!!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! About 2 months ago I was checking out at Home Depot and they gave me a free bottle of this product {Should have questioned the product at that time because Home Depot never gives anything for free} After reading the instructions I carefully sprayed my beautiful green lawn, which I had re-sodded 2 years prior. I was getting some weeds and figured I'd try it. after about a week, weeds began to turn yellow. This was followed by the grass beginning to turn yellow. Then I was walking on my lawn and grass was literally lifting out of the ground, rotted at the stem base. Needless to say the lawn completely died, along with some shrubs. Just laid 3 new pallets of sod. Called the manufacture and they said I either over sprayed or the grass was floratam. I know for a fact that it was the palmetto variety because I asked the nursery where I purchased the sod. To make it more interesting, my Home Depot doesn't even have It on the shelf any more. Been caring for St. Augustine grass for over 40 years and never saw anything like this.

I would rate it a zero .Never Ever buy this product it will kill your lawn.I recently purchased thus item 8/16 and I wish I had read the reviews first a sales lady at home depot said it was made for st Augustine grass (In bold letters on the bottle Apparently , she was unaware of the fine print. My lawn is dead along with some weeds.Repeat... stay away it will Kill your lawn .

This product says it is safe for St. Augustine grass, but my experience indicates otherwise. I applied at slightly less than the recommended mix rate in proper conditions to be safe, and a week or so later the grass started to die and most of the weeds did not. Further reading on the internet indicated that 2,4-d, Dicamba, or Mecoprop products should not be applied on St. Augustine lawns. This product has all three of those herbicides in it. This product seems like a good value but it is not. Spend the extra money on a high end product to control weeds. Don't learn your lesson the hard way. The following is from a reputable home and garden website: "Avoid the use of products containing 2,4-D, dicambra and mecoprop on St. Augustine, as damage from these herbicides is likely to occur on this grass. Product formulas designed specifically for St. Augustine grass can contain atrazine, but follow cautions for use carefully to avoid the potential for personal injury and contamination of ground water." I should have done more research, but I defiantly didn't expect it to kill my grass after following label directions. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

I normally do a lot of research into a product before buying it, but I was at Home Depot when two workers recommended this weed killer for lawns. I recently bought a house whose lawn obviously had never ever been treated It nor fertilized. I was having a hard time finding a weed control product that wouldn't harm my St. Augustine grass, so I decided to give this one a try. It didn't really kill anything out front (where I have Zoysia grass), though it did sort of injure some dandelions and plantain weeds. I spot treated in the back (St. Augustine), and it did harm the grass. I followed instructions to a T.

This stuff killed my st augustine grass in the spots I sprayed it....luckily I only sprayed in he area where some weeds were popping up using the recommended amounts. But now I have big dead pots popping up where I did spray it.

I have always had the best lawn in my development. Been caring for my lawn for over 25 years and never had a problem using Ortho weed control products. Decided to give this stuff a try due to the lower price. My entire established lawn of Bermuda has gone yellow/brown, except for some weeds. I used the correct amount of concentrate as directed inside my backpack sprayer and applied as directed. Calling Bayer to complain only resulted in them blaming me for improper use of their product. My phone call to Bayer resulted in this review in order to warn others, Bayer product is bad for southern lawns! Use Ortho if you want a weed free green lawn. I'll never buy another Bayer product nor will any of my neighbors, who keep stopping by asking what happened to my lush beautiful green lawn. My response is I tried a new weeded made by Bayer and have learned my lesson!

For St. Augustine lawns, the University of Florida agricultural extension advises against the use of herbicides containing 2,4-D dicambra and mecoprop. These are the active ingredients in this product. When used in the recommended concentration and application area, it damages or kills St. Augustine grass and barely touches the majority of broad leaf weeds in South Florida. Stay away or you'll be sorry

I used their hose applicator to apply this product. It did a great job of killing the grass, the weeds not so much. When I inquired with the company about the product, the first words I heard were that I had applied too much. They did not ask about square footage per bottle or size of lawn. So apparently I had applied to much and killed the grass, but not enough to kill the weeds. The weed I was trying to control was Chickweed, and it is listed on the bottle. The first time I used this product was in early spring on the front lawn, I did notice some damage but I attributed it to the weather. The second time I used this product was in the early fall, on the back lawn. The damage was considerable within days, and I then realized that it had probably done the same thing in the spring to the front lawn. I will say the product seems to work better on Dollarweed, but use of a hand sprayer is highly recommended, kill the weed, save your lawn.

Well I have to start off saying that I made the mistake when I purchased this product because I did not read the label. I was debating between the small and big bottle and decided on the smaller one. I grabbed it came home and applied to all of my bushes, flowers and Hibiscus. When finished I realized that it was not what i thought it was. I originally was trying to buy complete insect killer. Never the less. I do not have a bug problem anymore. It killed everything within 2 weeks. All of the Hibiscus leaves came off and I am hoping they come back. Roses dead, Lantana dead, Plumbego dead, Crotons seem to be hanging in. I made the mistake.. However this stuff is like round-up. Even the grass is starting to look burnt in some spots. I would not buy this product again. I used it for the wrong application... but it is way to strong of a product. If you do use this product be careful not to kill anything but weeds..

Used according to directions did not even brown the leaves of weeds in the lawn, don't bother with this stuff.

In Fl. we have the same grass as in TX. However, maybe Bayer changed their chems .for the weed killing. My grass showed no effect. But those dollar weeds turned bright yellow. However, after a few weeks, some of those weeds looked healthy. Maybe I didn't spray all that uniform. I'll go back and spot spray.

I live in south Texas, and had established six year old Tifway 419 Bermuda sod in the back yard in the summer of 2011. We applied the Bayer Weed Killer for Southern Lawns according to instructions. Our front yard was pretty much weed-free, and we could easily manage them by pulling them out, so we didn't apply it to the front. Within two weeks of applying the chemical; our back yard lawn and weeds started to die off and turned brown. The point was to kill the weeds, not the lawn! This is supposed to be a weed-selective type of chemical weed control. Instead, it killed everything! We've seen reviews on other sites warning people to stay away from this product after we used it, so it could have been that batch of chemicals, but we will never use this brand again.

Buyer BEWARE! Apparently Bayer doesn't think Floratam is a "southern lawn" as they only exclude it in the smaller print on the back label while St Augustine is pretty prominent on the front label.
