[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good as I've only had the refrigerator 3 days. It's the most beautiful refrigerator I've ever seen given its exterior finish ALTHOUGH I was told by a Bosch rep it would match my black Bosch dishwasher and it doesn't. I would say the color is a deep, charcoal gray, Bosch's idea of black stainless steel. Since Bosch only has 3 colors I will keep this one and will replace my stove and microwave when they no longer work. The colors are close enough, but the refrigerator has more of a flat finish but not the kind I’ve seen on display by other manufacturers. Again, it’s a beautiful color and finish and looks very high-end. I love seeing everything at eye level, the lighting is perfect and there's plenty of space in the refrigerator and freezer. Originally I didn't want exterior water/ice etc. but that model was either out of stock or didn’t come counter-depth. I think I’m going to like it all the same. I love Bosch and I'm happy to see they're back in the game!

Purchased a Bosch 500 and it started logging E2 errors. A Bosch tech replaced a freezer temp sensor and all was good for a while, then the E2 errors started up again. Since it was now out of factory warranty, I contacted Allstate (extended warrant), and was told they do not service E2 errors and would just pay out the warranty. I have had to free some stuck ice cubes and believe this was the cause I of the errors. I raised the freezer temp to 2 instead of 0 and have not seen an E2 error since.

Nice to have it big enough for water bottles. Not sure if the open door warning is going to drive me crazy? Probably a good thing if kids in your household 😁 the picture doesn't do it justice.

The best investment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Larger refrigerator even being a counter depth. Smudging isn't a problem, doesn't have any issue with finger prints. Ice maker keeps up with demand easily. The freezer and draw system works great. Only negative thing I can say is the plastic divider in the freezer are flimsy.

Bosch "Invented For Life" is the company's slogan. This refrigerator is what you would want in a frig and more. Built and assembled in the "GOOD OLD USA". It packs a number of features that make this frig all that it implies to be. It starts out with a storage capacity of 20.8 Cubic feet with spacious flexible storage features such as their customized shelves and adjustable door bins to hold large items such as gallon milk containers. All of the shelves are made from high quality tempered glass which are easily adjusted to accommodate all perishable groceries. Comes with Bosch's one-of-a-kind Ultra-Clarity-Pro filter that removes 99.9% of water sediments which is also known to be in our treated drinking water (chlorine and chloramine) and a Bottle-Fill technology. The freezer has LED lighting enabling a clear view what is in the freezer. The Multi-Air-Flow and Air-Fresh-Filter reduces odor transfer between foods. The black stainless steel guards against scratches and fingerprints. I'm able to control my "Smart Refrigerator" from my smartphone. Example: Calling your phone in the event the door is ajar. This frig is classified as a ENERGY STAR product. I just cannot find anything I don't like about the refrigerator, it completely met all of my expectations and more.

Mary is very happy with this refrigerator. She likes the looks, and loves the layout. Being wider and not as deep as our old refrigerator lets her get at things easier. Things no longer get lost in the back. I like the ice and water in the door, and that you can get at the ice cube bin with out having to bend down. The doors are interesting. When you close the right door, there is a section that opens to the left, so the the left door and seal to it. The best part is that it works no matter what door you close first. I had to do some plumbing when installing it. The old connection for the ice maker was 1/4", and the new one is 3/8". Because the old water valve was 1/4", I decided to upgrade it to a 3/8" valve well I was at it. The WiFi is interesting. It lets you change a lot of the settings without having to open the doors and access the control panel. You can check, and set the temperatures in the app, as well as get alarm notifications.

I'd say that it is hard to justify the price of this unit for what it is. This is a new model for Bosch, so I guess that is sort of an excuse? Here are my beefs with this unit. The drawers feel super flimsy and don't pull out smoothly. They will wiggle side to side and have a great deal of flex when there are items in the drawers. Also, there is a gap in the drawers when they are closed. I'm not sure how they expect the drawer "humidity control" to do any good when the drawer is not sealed in the first place. Another fault with the drawers is that you can't open the left drawer without opening both of the doors first. The left drawer is impeded by the sealing latch that is on the right door. The bottom drawer is pretty shallow and has a bump out in the middle/rear of it that further impedes what canbe stored in it. The shelves have a metal trim piece along the front edge which has some pretty sharp edges. The left door shelving has some quirks too. Some of the shelving is tiny. Maybe big enough for a few slices of cheese. Other shelves on this door have short bin walls that seem like they were unnecessarily cut out, restricting what can be stored in an already compromised space. I think that the engineers should have focused on function before form. It's a gorgeous appliance with loads of features (many that will never be used) but the short comings seem too numberous for such a high ticket item.

I received the Bosch 500 Series 21 cubic foot refrigerator in black Stainless steel its 36 in. Wide and counter top depth about 28 in. Deep and 70 in. Tall. French door with freezer in the bottom. It's advertised as the fastest ice maker in the industry with the Bosch Quickicepro system. And I will say the ice maker is fast once the unit is to temperature. You can dump the ice from the ice maker unit to a tub in the freezer if you want to build up a lot of ice. I really like that you can hook up to your Wifi and use Home Connect app to change settings and or get notified if the door is left open, also you can control the child proof lock with the app from anywhere you have a connection. The only down side so far is how long before the wife wants to replace some of the other appliances now.

Wow!!! This Bosch 500 Series 36 in. 21 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator in Black Stainless Steel is so incredibly sexy!!! I know that sounds ridiculous but I have never owned such a gorgeous fridge. The color is beautiful and masculine all at the same time, the inside is top end. This is not your average fridge. Very high end looking and for operation as well. It has a super fast ice maker a ridiculous amount of options for the dispenser. The bins in the freezer pull out for easy cleaning access and the freezer is super deep. The sides have a gorgeous texture. It was packaged so incredibly secure. Arrived with zero damage! I will never buy another brand again. Bosch is awesome! You will not regret this fridge or this brand!!

Bought based on fit and reputation. But, the software is bad, shutdown my wifi and Alexa, and Roku when it was plugged in. Took an hour or more to figure it out and to get everything back in operation. Then tried downloading the smart software, took 2-3 hours to get it to allow me to download, of course it was Saturday so Customre service ( Germany, INdia?) was closed. Finally, after several attempts it downloaded. Bosch should stick to manufacturing and get out of software. Manual was no help, and control panel was not responsive, works but reluctantly, and there are no explanations for codes anywhere.

Love the look of it and the space inside of it, but giving it only 2 stars because the ice machine only works when it wants to. When it is not working, it gives me the "E2" error, and the solution to fix that (supposedly) is to unplug and plug back in the fridge to reset it. That doesn't work every time either. So, we are at the fridge's mercy on when we have ice available to us or not. On days like today when I'm writing this and it is not producing ice and it is 110 degrees outside, this fridge deserves negative stars!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old refrigerator was making 6 cubes a day. The Bosch 500 is the Boss! It makes lots of ice every day! The inside is huge,25' , there's plenty of shelves and they adjust! There is stainless steel inside the back of refrigerator,should last longer. First time to have this French door design, love it, more room at easy reach on top for refrigerator, cause that is where you look 90% of the time, freezer on bottom has drawer for ice storage! I wish the door alarm was a little louder and come on sooner, the right door has to be pushed closed but no big deal.

Do your research before buying this Bosch 500 series. $3500 spent, not even two years old and the “fastest ice machine” has broken - twice. First time was just past warranty and an entire new ice system was needed. Now, about eight months later, that entire new ice system is BROKEN. Checked reviews and this is a common problem. Bosch, it is shameful for you not to recall/refund/stand my your appliance. Why should I be out money, time and ice (!) when my refrigerator is not even 2 years old.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although this is a review of my wonderful new refrigerator, it all started when I bought a Bosch dishwasher. I was tired, at the age of 74, to having to wash my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher so after reading some reviews I purchased the Bosch dishwasher. Other than scraping large pieces of food off the plates, they don't even need to be lightly rinsed. AND, I don't run the dishwasher but once of twice a week. Everything comes out sparkling! Now, about that refrigerator -- it's a great design starting with an exterior that doesn't get fingerprints. The water and icemaker on the outside takes up little room on the inside the operates smoothly. Inside are easy to clean glass shelves that are adjustable, drawers that keep my fresh vegetables fresh and space in the doors for large drink containers and other items you might access frequently. I've lived in four states, had homes built and several different brands of kitchen appliances. I'm only sorry I didn't find Bosch first!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Other brands give you more interior space. The drawers "lock" in to control humidity but just make it hard to open. Water filter is very hard to change. You can get a better product for a cheaper price point.

Ice maker stopped working after 6 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised there was no compartment for my eggs and the compartments in the doors are too large to hold my small bottles like A1 sauce. They fall over. It would also be nice to have a pop can dispenser shelf.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I love this french door refrigerator by Bosch. Not only does it function effeciently with very little operating noise, the technology is awesome! The black steel color is exactly as we wanted and matches the home decor well!

Good refrigerator as it should be for the price. My biggest complaint is that the doors need to be positively shut, no just swinging it toward closed and hope it does so.
