Not being a knowing of electricity very well, it was easy to use. I attach the transmitter to outlet, bulb or socket and you bring the receiver to the fuse panel and it detects what fuse belongs to it and if it’s wired correctly.

Very easy to use to identify electrical circuits in you home or small business. etc. Able to check light bulb circuits, new add-on circuits, existing circuits back to the Circuit Breaker panels. The portion that plugs into the socket is also a trouble shooting tool to check for mis-wired circuits, also checks Ground fault receptacles for proper operational tests. As well as open circuits. Truly multi-functional and the soccer tester is safely stored in the end of the hand tester that turns red when the circuit is identified. Green for normal. When checking your breakers be sure to follow the instructions and go through the panel twice before you do your final test sd the first test can give you a false reading. High Quality tool, as all Kiein tools are.

The Klein tools circut breaker finder is a huge time saver. My electricial circits were not marked in my panel, so when doing projects before this tool, I would have to leave a light on or plug in radio in, and flip all breakers untell the one I wanted shut off. This is not quick or easy to re set all the clocks I just turned off. What this tool, you simply plug transmitter I, and scan the breakers on the service panel to find correct circut. The transmitter with lights also shuts off when power, showing positively that the power to that curcut is off. If you do electricial work, this tool will help you find curcuts quickly. You will mot be disappointed.

A fair review of the Klein Digital Circuit Breaker Finder, MODEL ET310. Trying to figure out which breaker controls which outlet or switch has been a 2 person job. Or you had to plug in a radio, turn it up really loud and switch off breakers one by one. No more of that nonsense with Klein's Digital Circuit Breaker finder. This 2 piece tool does the job so quickly and safely, I really wish I'd gotten one before now! Not only will this find breakers it can also check the wiring of any plug, light socket or bare/open wires with the accessories that come with this tool. The Klein ET310 will also check GFCI circuits with just a press of the button on the transmitter. The transmitter, when not in use, can be stored in the end of the receiver. The Klein Digital Circuit Breaker Finder has a small learning curve. It does take practice to get accurate results. I was getting a "double" breaker hit and realized I was moving the tool way too fast during the "learning" sweep. TIP: Read the directions, then read them again! After I became comfortable using the finder I was getting results that were spot on. In fact I found a miss-wired outlet where the ground had come loose. The Klein Circuit Breaker finder has very bright LED indicators and a loud beep tone. Couple more notes. This tool is IP40 water resistant and is rated to survive a 2 meter (6½ feet) drop without damage. The ET310 does have available accessories which include an 2 to 3 adapter plug, a bulb socket adapter and a 2 wire alligator clip connector. The warranty is two years from the date of purchase.

Composed of Model #E310 (receiver and transmitter/GFCI tester) and 69411 (accessory kit) – both Made in China. Battery compartment secured by small, captive Phillips head screw. 9V battery included. As usual, ultra strong plastic packaging. Convenient storage of transmitter/GFCI unit (although very tight fit) – but not the three accessory items. Worked like a charm – easy to identify exact circuit breaker with few false indications, especially with standard-width breakers. Narrow breakers were more problematic, as it often identified the adjacent breaker about as strongly as the actual breaker. The instructions say to scan every breaker once, to “teach” the unit, then scan again to identify the desired breaker. In practice, that helped very little since it identified the desired breaker on the first pass and even after learning it often beeped on adjacent breakers. If the receiver senses the strongest signal first it appears to reject subsequent weaker signals. In any case, it's much more responsive and accurate than an older unit I have so I'll definitely be using this one exclusively.

This device will now save me from having someone yell down to the basement while I flip various circuit breakers to determine which circuit goes off. You simply plug the signal generator into the receptacle you want to work on or the accessory lamp socket and go to your breaker box with the receiver to determine which circuit you have chosen. To me the accessory pack is a must to include when purchasing this product.

KLEIN TOOLS CIRCUIT BREAKER FINDER TOOL KIT (2-PIECE) A simple and easy to use tool for locating circuits and breakers but it only works on LIVE circuits. While it works well I believe it may be overkill for the average homeowner as you can accomplish the same thing by plugging in a radio and flipping breakers. Twice I received indications and turned off a breaker only to find when I went to the outlet/fixture the wires were still LIVE using a non-contact tester. It's an older house with a few panel updates over the years but always use a non contact tester to verify the circuit is OFF where you are going to work! Not sure about the accessory kits usefulness.

My husband is an electrician and he was looking for a replacement circuit breaker finder tool so I chose this Klein Tools circuit breaker finder tool kit. It quickly and accurately locates the circuit breaker in the panel with clear visual and audible indication. He likes the light socket adapter for finding the circuit for light fixtures. The alligator clip adaptor means it can be used on bare wires. Good choice.

Klein Tools Circuit Breaker Finder. Combination of a base unit for finding the exact circuit breaker plus checking out the wiring of your plugs (3 prong) and the accessories to find breakers for light sockets, 2 prong plugs and bare wiring. The base unit also can check out ground fault circuits. Be sure to read the instructions before using. There is a short procedure you have to go through before doing the final check. Also go slow when doing the final check so you catch the right breaker. When you find the proper breaker, the green light goes off and a red light comes on. Then you can confirm by turning the breaker off. The lights on the transmitter (small unit) will go out. Besides marking the breakers with the location of their supplied power, I did a drawing of my home indicating the location of the plugs and which breaker supplies them. Works well. The instructions can be downloaded off the Klein Tool website.

I should have purchased something like this years ago. If your are updating your house with smart switches everywhere, this is a huge time saver

This is a must have kit for multimeters, clamp meters & Circuit Breaker Finders. All the items in this kit are well made even the 2 to 3 prong adapter and screw base adapter are much better made than the usual ones offered in stores. I like that the female strain relief actually shows where the red & black wires terminate to, the larger or smaller spade (see pic). I have other Klein products and they have never let me down. I used this to verify all my outlets in the house and which breakers they were on. The polarity tester works great. All of my outlets were wired correctly. As far as the tracer goes, I found it to be a bit iffy. Some readings were spot on, while a few other breaker readings were a bit faulty. One time I would get a positive reading, then just to double check I would take another reading and I wouldn't get any reading on it. This was my first time using this type of tester so it may have been me or the wiring in my house as it is a mess. I would at times get readings on 2 separate breakers. Again this could be the way my house was wired. As it is I would just throw the breaker to verify I had the right one. I now have every outlet and light marked as to what breaker it goes to. As a professional electrician there may be better tester out there, but for me it worked out for what I needed it to do.

Worked well....No complaints

I really like this gadget. Every place I've lived, the notations at the breaker box have never been complete nor reliable. I changed an outlet for my cousin several months ago, and for her huge house I tried no fewer than 8 breakers trying to find the right one. WIth this tool, you simply plug one end into the outlet, and at the breaker box scan the breakers to identify the right one. Easy peasy... maybe, baby. The identification isn't exact. It's a best guess based on the strength of the signal as you point the tester at each one. It's fairly accurate, but I'm hesitant to take it at face value. Still, it's a HUGE improvement over hit and miss. But here's the thing... and why I ding it. The description reads."The Klein Tools ET310 is a digital circuit breaker finder used to locate the correct circuit breaker in a panel to which an electrical outlet or fixture is connected." It says NOTHING about the fact that in order to test for a fixture, you need to buy additional accessories. If you look at my attached picture from the packaging, the adapter to test a fixture is two-prong while the Finder is three-prong. So you need to get a three- to two-prong adapter, then the plug to socket adapter, in a ridiculous series that will not fit every situation. In my humble opinion, everything should be included to make it a good value for the price. Despite the tech of this FInder, I still relied on my Klein sensor to make sure the power was actually off. So silly.

As always, Klein puts out a quality tool and guarantees them with confidence. This Digital Circuit Tester is a fantastic tool to have if you have a circuit breaker panel all messed up. The prior owners of my home just guested which breaker shut off which area of the house. Boy, what a mess!. With this gem of a tool I can put the transmitter in the socket, turn it on and go to the panel in my garage. The long part or Receiver will sound with a beep, light up and give you the voltage it's finding. As you see on the transmitter, there's a series of codes. These tell you if the circuit's grounded, open or state that the electricity is in and it runs all this on a 9v battery.. You can't go wrong with this tool. It's very reasonably priced at Home Depot, has a great guarantee from Klein & is accurate, a major importance when you're working with electricity. You want to be right!

I had a series of outlets and some unused switches that need to be removed or renewed. I used this on the switches to determine the correct breaker to turn off. This breaker was in a large panel of thin series 2 pole 110 breakers along with a few 220 V breakers. Hooked up the test leads plugged in the transmitter scanned the panel and first time found the breaker. On another attempt possible my fault I was mistaken by one breaker on the thin series 110 V. I think I was not careful enough to allow the breaker finder to beep on the correct half of the breaker. I wish that I bought this years ago. Small price to pay for the quick results in finding the correct breaker. As stated in prior comments, go slowly over the panel of breakers. I also a time or two turned off then back on the sensor to double check myself. My panel was in a back room maybe 60 feet from the switch/outlets.

A good general use adapter for toning out lighting circuits.

This circuit breaker finder kind of works sometimes, but that’s about all I can say. I was using it in a building with 3 breaker panels and it often would strongly indicate multiple breakers, sometimes in the wrong panels, and sometimes wouldn’t indicate at all on the correct breaker. I often had to resort to turning off every breaker one by one to locate the correct one. I really don’t think the convenience when it works well is worth the weight and space it takes in my bag.

I personally have found this Klein Circuit Breaker finder tool to be very accurate and a handy addition to my collection. Just be sure to read and understand the enclosed instructions as you must turn on and then “reset” the receiver prior to starting the brief steps where it “learns” your unique panel. After this you will be able to quickly and accurately locate the circuit breaker associated with your receptacle, light, or wires. This is a popular tool and you won’t have any trouble finding a detailed instructional video on sites like YouTube if you want more clarification. A battery is included and the receiver will automatically turn off after three minutes of non-use. I highly recommend that you purchase one of these models that includes an accessory kit. It will include a light socket adapter, alligator clip adapter, and a 3 to 2 prong adapter. I also recommend you purchase a case to keep all of these little gems together so you won’t have to hunt them down when the time comes to use them. The transmitter doubles as a gfci tester and confirms that the receptacle has been properly wired.
