The 30-in deck doesn't stick past the wheels for trimming which makes a lot of extra work by hand. Wish now I'd got the 42 inch it would of overlapped better. Does cut nice, the joy stick takes some getting used to.

This is a review of Home Depot and not the unit itse Like everyone else, I took advantage of the 2000 price drop and bought one of the last remaining units. Mine came assembled and dirty, like it had been sitting outside in the elements. I returned them and was going to try to purchase another one as soon as the refund showed up on my card. It looks like it's not available online anymore because of all these complaints.

My mower was delivered 2 weeks ago and I have now used it twice. As others have mentioned my mower appeared to have been sitting out in the weather for some time with evidence of sun damage and grim. It works fine and mows great. So far I am not a fan of the joy stick. I have a Hustler ICE zero turn with dual controls which is much easier to use. The Hustler is much more maneuverable and easier to control. Your right arm gets sore having to make constant corrects to the stick controller. Otherwise the mower works as advertised. I would have preferred an in the box model but I realize there was a price reduction for a reason. These mowers have apparently not sold well at the original price and thus have sat in the weather for a long time. Home Depot might think about covering their display models to protect them from the elements.

After 1 trying it out in my driveway on the day I brought it home and having it slam into park on me, refuse to restart, refuse to move I charged it up fully and now this weekend it won't turn on. $5k display piece!!! Absolute trash product. Based on all the rust and sun fading my, the painters tape on one of the batteries, the two assembly kits (one with painters tape on it) and 3 keys included I'm certain I got a used unit. Packaging good, assembly easy, beautiful new. Not worth full price. Rear tires too small and smooth, slips easily. Downhill is dangerous, slides out of control. Uphill is fine. 1 acre, 1 charge? Doubtful unless flat and smooth. Fast charge is good. Cuts okay. Seat is comfy but still a kidney buster on rough ground. May not be the best choice for my yard but, I'll just have to suck it up and enjoy the ruts!

The Mower is quiet and arrived fully assembled and very dirty. The joystick is tricky but usable. An issue is the 80v battery door won't stay closed. Attempts to reach Ryobi support were frustrating due to a glitchy website and long phone wait times.

Easy to operate and control and has fast re-charge capability.

This review is primarily for Home Depot, not Ryobi or their mower. Purchased this new, received a floor display. Very dirty and dusty, so far it seems to be operating okay. I always worry when a receive a display model. I did not want a used/display item. This is not a cheap purchase and I should have received a brand new item. If I was not in dire need of a mower, I would have refused the delivery and requested a refund. Delivery was rescheduled without speaking to me about the reschedule.

Like some of the other reviews, my mower was not in new condition. I bought the mower online on a sale... What I wasn't told was that these mowers are on sale because of extra inventory from last year. It didn't come in any kind of packaging , the mower was already assembled, and had been stored outside for months. So I called the store it can from as I was instructed. Customer service was very nice , but their hands were tied by corporate policy . All their mowers were in the same condition.

The driving back wheels spin too easily making a zero turn on any incline very hard.

I just bought this mower a week ago and it had quite a few issues from home Depot storing it outside; however Ryobi was able to send out a service technician to my house in only one business day after completing the registration. Chuck W. The Field Specialist apart of TTI was absolutely wonderful!! He worked to diagnose my issues took his time to ensure everything operated as intended and took time out to explain to my son what he was doing and why so he could learn. Bought one, brought it home and it didn’t work. Returned it for a second one, brought it home and it worked for 2 minutes on a full charge and quit. Horrible!!!

The joystick is extremely overly sensitive and this mower has a ton of power/speed so you end up all over the place, forget about driving in a straight line, going around small objects or perimeters without hitting something, as you are pretty much fighting the joystick the entire time. Instead of snapping back into straight mode when let go the joystick keeps its direction, and forget about finding neutral before you run into something.

I unwrapped the mower today. There are no batteries and no charger and customer servive cannot help other than to have the mower picked up and my money refunded. Actually HD customer service is saying I have to call my local store even though I didn’t think this purchase went through them at all.

this mower will not go. it turns on, that is all it does not go forward, back ward etc... ryobi customer care, non existent. on phone 30 min, had to hang up. their chat is a bot so no help there, run because HD doesn't even show how to return the garbage they just delivered to me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had this mower for three weeks. Learning how to operate the joystick takes a lot of practice. All the fetchers seem to work really well. I am able to use my Ryobi weed whip from the tractor. This is a big plus for me. I had to have my right leg amputated. I could not operate my old mower without the right leg. I had to trim from a wheelchair. Could only get a few feet before I had to move the chair. Trimming took forever. When I first saw this mover with the hand operated control I thought this was made for people like me. I'm 82 years old but still love to do my own yard work. The joystick control makes that possible. I have a long way to go to be a great operator but with lots of practice I expect to be the best operator these mowers have seen. I thank Ryobi every day for this invention. Keep up the good work. I have lots of Ryobi tools for working around the house. The radio9 is really nice too,

I purchased the 30 inch zero turn today on sale. Price was great. Haven’t had time to ride it yet, only issue I found was floor frame and various hardware are rusted. Rust bubbling up from the frame where foot board is. I realize that home depote displays the lawn mowers outside but for a new one to rust this fast has me worried .

My mower developed a problem with moving, and mowing. I called the service number from the manual. The first rep. said it was the battery, he ordered a new battery. But that wasn't the mower problem. I called the service department again, and Brian answered. He was great and interested. he said he would send a technician to my house to fix the mower. a couple days later Rob Merrick came as suggested. He found the problem, and fixed it in about a hour. Brian and Rob were super great. Thank you.

Very easy to assemble, can’t see control panel good when the sun is out. There’s a serious glare. Gotta get use to the joystick control.

The Home Depot team removed the mower from the shipping platform prior to loading it on the truck. The machine arrived in good condition with all expected kit present. The seat installation is a bit tricky as it is robust. It would be good if the delivery team assisted with this step. The mower is well made giving a good cut and mulching performance. It easily completes my small lawn on a full charge. I'm slowly learning to drive it.

I got it for my nephew, who cuts the lawn, and he loves it. It is quiet, the only noise is from the blades, and is small enough to go through the gates. It will cut the entire yard on one charge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago and I’m glad I did. I have Osteoarthritis and my legs are week but now I look forward to mowing the grass. I’m in Houston Tx and have mowed about 5 times so far this year I have the 30” zero turn and it is fast, mowes extremely well. I like that you Can mow very high and everywhere in between. The seat is very very comfortable. For now I keep it in the slow speed and it’s plenty fast for me on slow. I’m 72 and now enjoy riding around my yard with my new toy and not waiting for the lawnmower guys to show up!!!

I purchased this recently so I cannot say how it performs as yet but I bought it online through my ProAccount after viewing it several times at my local store. I like that it has a fairly small footprint in my garage and that the batteries can be taken out of the unit to charge in case there is not a plug near where the mower is stored. Nate and Chris at the Middletown CT store went out of their way to assist me after the mower was delivered. I am ready to mow!

Bought this a week ago, going back to the store this weekend. Poorly designed control interface disables the controls if you come to a stop on a slope. Not even a big slope, just any slope that the thing will roll on. It doesn't apply a brake if you come to a stop, and it disables the controls if the thing is rolling. So if you stop, it will roll downhill and there is nothing you can do about it other than put the parking brake on. Dangerous as it almost went over a ledge and I had no steering.

Great mower with good battery life. The joystick steering takes a little getting use to but after a few cuts you will be flying around your yard. I love the variable speed on the blades giving you lots of choices. Ryobi does it again.

This mower with joystick control will do justice for my lower back problems. The bagging attachment and boost feature makes yard work more effecient. The seat is extremly comfortable. The LCD screen is easy to read and provides information concerning the runtime and battery. I am very happy with my purchase and excited to use this mower for yard work this year.
