I should have purchased this mower when it first came out. So far, I have used it this past summer and am very satisfied with its performance. Nice clean level cut and easy to maneuver. The only maintenance is blade sharpening which is a big plus. Gone are the days of changing spark plugs, air filters, not to mention no more gas. I recommend this mower

I took it for a test drive to clean up the leaves in the yard because it's winter and grass is not growing. I was very pleased with its operation and features. I am looking forward to carrying for my own lawn and saving lots of money.

Been using this machine for over a year. Gets some getting use to handling with the joystick but once mastered, it is fun to use. My only complaint is the bagging system. You have to dump the clippings on the ground and transferring them to a bag since their are no bags like on most other mowers. Not quite sure why the Ryobi engineers design it this way since the larger mowers of this type use bags. If you do get a bagger, get one with the blaster. It makes clearing the chute much easier.

So far working fine, only problem only got one key for the mower. Ryobi said it comes with 3 sets .Home depot told me it comes with one.

Power and cutting ability is great but steering still needs a lot of work. It's pretty much impossible to cut a straight line and turning gets stuck a lot on slightly uneven ground. Also joystick doesn't always do exactly what you tell it to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit 2 weeks ago and I am still getting used to the joy stick steering control. I really enjoy the controls. The mower gives a really nice cut. I have approximately 3/4 acre and I have never gone below 50% battery power. Charging is very quick. My main concern is the rear wheels scuffing the grass from slipping. This has improved as I get used to the joy stick. It is difficult to control on a hilly lawn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the best mowers that I have ever owned. Its super quiet and leaves a beautiful cut. I'm 67 years old and like the other reviews say it takes a few mows to get the steering down but after that it's a breeze and lots of fun. I really wanted to get the 42 inch but it wouldn't fit between all my wife's bushes, so I purchased the 30 inch and it fits perfectly. The only faults that I can think of is the deck doesn't stick out pass the tires enough to get a close cut to the edge of a planter or curb and I think Ryobi could have thrown in a couple of 40v batteries for the price. If you do purchase one of these mowers, I highly recommend you purchasing the set of double blades they make a beautiful cut and a lot quieter, and you can run the blade speed on low and save the battery power. I have owned a lot of riding, zero turn and all wheel steering mowers and this one is by far the best one so far.

I wrote a negative review earlier this year and was then contacted by their review department asking to work with me to improve my rating. My issues were poor cut quality, doesn't mulch well, joy stick control is inaccurate so it's hard to steer and can't hold a line. Joystick also is intermittent in accelerating, getting the mower to start and I seem to get stuck during turns and difficult features of the lawn, landscaping, trees etc. I had a Dixon ZTR for the last twenty years and after a few cuts it became almost instinctive when turning and holding a line, but this Ryobi is disappointing.

Great machine. I probably should have bought the 42” but the 30” let’s me drive around more which is fun. Cheaper too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Makes no sense to me but it drains the 40v batteries first so you get done mowing and you want to clean up with your leaf blower and the battery is dead. And the slowest speed is lot faster than a good mowing speed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy the mobility of this mower although it takes some getting used to as the joystick controls are not as intuitive as a skid-steer type steering. Solidly built with relatively easy access to remove blade housing when changing blades. You can’t just wash this unit down to get the grass out from under it. Dry blow-off only. To protect the electronics. Did I mention quiet? That is a real pleasure.

I gave it 4 stars because it could be a little better on inclines. The joystick does take some practice. I also would like it to mulch a little smaller.

The blades would NOT engage after 2 hours of mow time. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

I love this machine. Getting used to the joystick but I have started to like having complete control (direction and speed) with one hand. Charges really fast, dropping the deck is very simple (about the only maintenance required for cleaning).

Pros Cuts extremely well Issues Received with knicked up charger cap. Not a huge deal but annoying for the cost Mower didn't originally charge 40v batteries with included charger After several hours wasted with support i recevied a new charger and now one of the two 40v batteries still won't charge Impossible to cut in straight lines. The joystick is too sensative, even when placed in slow mode Mower cannot handle hills at all making it very easy to lose control Decks rattle is loud

The joy stick was complicated to use

Mows well, recharges pretty fast, just really hard to not overcompensate when steering with the joystick. And weird not to have a foot pedal for speed. Definitely a learning curve.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally gave this a lower review, I had some issues with the battery run time. I talked to customer support and got that sorted out. The joystick takes a little practice, but once you get the hang of it, it's really easy to use. The batteries charge quickly and you can add 40v batteries for extra run time. Not having a gas engine to maintain is nice, and it makes the mower a little quieter than others.

Joy stick should go to centrr when let go. All else works really well. Can mow my standard city yard 2 or 3 times without recharging batteries.

Great battery 🔋 life. This is definitely a full featured riding mower. Well engineered. Documentation and assembly instructions well written. With a full 5-year warranty, I am looking forward to many years of faithful service. Ryobi support has been outstanding during the entire purchasing and post sales processes. If you are looking for the latest technology and superior performance, I highly suggest you consider this product.
