Keeping an eye on things
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with the stick up cam. It was easy to set up and sync to our phones. I tried it in a few spots before we chose to mount it on our porch. I have ordered the optional solar panel so we don’t have to recharge the battery. Recharging the battery is fairly easy though. It has great features. Motion detector works well. I like that you can set the perimeters to suit your needs. We have animals so inside, it was always going off. Outside, it goes off within where we set it. I like that you can set up in your neighborhood and communicate with neighbors if there is a threat. This is a great starter camera for your home.

Great outdoor security!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using my Ring stick up battery cam for a few weeks now, and am very impressed with the quality and clarity the camera offers. Setup was easy and straightforward. I was able to connect my camera with my phone via an app and now I can easily monitor any activity outside with the touch of a button. I really like the motion sensor that will automatically alert if there is movement near the camera. I also like that you can see images clear during the night without the need of additional lighting. I can record and post any suspicious activity through the Ring app to alert my neighbors. The battery is rechargeable, and comes with a USB port. I’m very pleased with everything about the camera and would definitely recommend it.

Great pet cam
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera is easy to use and has very nice picture quality. I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now and am very happy with it. We first had it looking out over the back deck but found the motion detection feature missed events, even on the most sensitive setting. We decided to use it as a pet cam instead and this has been great. The live view feature in the app lets me check in on them from anywhere and I can hear and talk to them through the camera. The app is easy to navigate and the neighborhood alerts are helpful. The battery lasts forever - my main concern was needing to frequently recharge it but after 2 weeks it still has over 50% battery life remaining. I love that it’s cordless and moving it to a different location is as easy as picking it up and setting it back down somewhere else, no messing with needing to find an outlet. Very useful little device!

We love the Ring!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our family absolutely loves the Ring. We use the stick up cam on our back porch. We also have the doorbell that we use all the time. You download an app on your phone and can get alerts when someone passes by the sensor on the camera. The image quality is amazing. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for extra security in their home.

Fast, Easy and Awesome!

The setup only took a few minutes ( to put battery in and get it going) and then connecting to the WIFI and following the prompts....not hard at all. I have this in my front room by the front door inside. I have three large dogs that I am now able to keep an eye on...and talk to if I choose to ( but it confuses them as they cannot find me...lol). It's a great, clear pic that I can monitor on my phone or my tablet. It is motion sensitive so I have it set pretty low as my dogs are always walking around. The ring is pretty loud when it goes off whether I'm at home or the office. The battery is easy to pull out and recharge. I've had it up for about a week and a half and have only had to charge it once so far. I get a notification when the battery is low!
I'm very impressed by this little camera!!!

Amazing camera!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Ring camera! The picture is so clear and I love the notifications I can get in my phone whenever there is movement outside my house! It was incredibly easy to put up as it has no wires and just a battery that you charge. I am not sure how long each charge will last bit after a week, it’s still going strong. I love how I can check in on my house and yard even when I am on vacation out of state! Super helpful and keeps my house safe. I will definitely be buying another for backyard! I highly recommend Ring!

Quick and easy installation without wires.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have become empty nesters and thus the house is often “unwatched” while we are at work, away for business or vacation. As a result, I decided to get the Ring Stick Up Battery Security Camera. I chose this version because I could hang it up anywhere without needing a wired hook up. The camera came with a bracket and screws and was very easy to install. Before mounting the camera, I first got the Ring app so that I could make sure it worked before putting all the time and effort installing it! Having the app prior to installation also allowed me to move the camera around to see what the best angle for optimum results was. Once I was able to determine that, I affixed the bracket onto the side of my house. This camera gives me a full clear, view of my backyard both in the daytime and evenings and the app alerts me when there is any motion in the yard. The camera records up to 1-minute video and it is saved until I delete it. The only part I am having problems with is being able communicate using the app. Both my voice and the voice of the person outside my home, is muffled. Thus, if I wanted to alert someone that I see them in my yard, it may not be clearly communicated. Otherwise, I am happy with the ease of installation, the clarity of the video, and the amount of square footage it covers. The camera comes with rechargeable battery which took about 12 hours to charge before initial use. The app shows the battery life and because I have not had the camera long enough, I do not know how long the battery will last before it needs recharging. I highly recommend this camera because it does not need to be wired, you can have peace of mind while away from home and the easy to use app with saved video recordings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start with I am not very techy at all and am pleasantly surprised at my ability to both install and use the Stick Up Cam. Installation took under an hour for me and most of that time was updating my phone a bit to be able to receive notifications. Notifications are coming through clearly and quickly on my phone. The picture is clear as well as the video and I am thrilled that it has the ability to handle voices and other noises. The picture and video are clear to make out which is a huge plus for me. The range that the camera catches is more than others I have looked at too. It is made well and I expect it will be able to hold up to the elements here. An important note I think is that I have an entirely different security system but did not have an outdoor camera with it. This camera is stand alone without the rest of the ring system and is really a great addition to what I already have in place. I feel like my home is now more secure and I feel more protected than ever.

Works Great!

I already had the Ring doorbell so this camera just syncs to the same app. I can pull both devices up using the app. I love that i can pull up live feeds as well as get notifications when there’s movement. I placed it over our garage so we have a perfect view of our driveway. With the camera added to our Ring collection, we can now keep tabs on the entire front area of the house. And, because it recharges with a USB port, I could place it wherever I wanted to without having to worry about cords or hooking it to an electric source.

Great features!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is absolutely an awesome camera. To have one that can be inside or outside (weather proof) is terrific. With the option to keep on a shelf/table or put someplace outside. I cannot get over how clear the video comes out and the night vision is amazingly just as clear. The unit has something like peripheral vision, whereas.. it doesn't just record straight ahead, it does from 3 different angles. So you can view an entire room. The area I keep this in has to entrances. Front and back and I am able to see both. This puts me at peace when I am fine now. I am able to see if anyone has come in. Or if I am upstairs busy. It also will come in handy in tbe event we believe we have a wild animal in our yard by coop. I will be able to change where I want the camera and watch that specific area. The notifications over phone are nice. They can be a little overwhelming at 1st. My cat kept triggering the camera, and I woul receive a notice on my phone I had movement in that area of house. I am able to shut them off or mute them from phone however the camera stays on. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the motion. Alot of cameras don't have that option. It's small and easy to find an area for. It has sound both to hear the area where the camera is. As well as to speak into it to notify whoever is in that room something from wherever I am thru my phone. The app for it was easy to install on phone and set up. I highly recommend this. Whether it be for watching your house, checking in on your animals or outside. So many things this can do. I would like to get a couple more. And it comes with 30 days of free recording of video.

Great Camera!

The instructions are well detailed and simple to follow so you don't feel so overwhelmed when installing. The App is also very easy to use. I love all of the features and settings available so you can choose how it works for you. The motion sensor is very accurate. The camera itself is great quality and has a wide view. I will definitely be buying more for other areas of my house. I would absolutely recommend!

I had considered options for security for years, but was reluctant to commit to a security service due to cost. This is a relatively low cost solution that lets me monitor activity at my property. I got the solar charger and am well pleased with the ease of use and quality of the video.

It sounds like the device is not performing as intended. If you're having a problem setting up your device in the Ring app, it's possible you are experiencing a problem with your internet connection. We have listed some issues here that you may experience with poor connectivity:
Your internet is not communicating with the Ring app at all.
Your internet connection is too slow to provide a decent signal to your Ring device.
Make sure your wifi router is off the floor.
Walls, floors, and furniture can interfere or weaken your router’s wireless signal. Choose an elevated, central, open location.
Make sure you're entering the correct password. Passwords are case sensitive and do not include spaces. Your network password can often be found on the bottom or side of your router.
Wifi passwords are case and special character (such as *,@,$, or #) sensitive. Double check letter capitalization and placement.
If you haven't changed your wifi password since your router was installed, it may be on a sticker on the underside of your router.
Connect other devices to your wifi network using your last remembered password to verify it is still correct.
If you have multiple networks or a wifi extender, confirm you are connecting to the correct one.
Make sure to connect to the 2G (2.4 GHz) network, not 5G (5 GHz). All Ring devices can connect to 2.4 GHz, while only select Ring devices have Dual-Band Wifi to be able to connect to either.
If you’re still having issues, try holding down the setup button on the camera for 20 seconds. Before you reset your device, make sure to download any videos in your account.
If your internet seems to be working, you may have a problem with your internet speed. Follow these instructions to run a speed test on your wifi network: https://ring.com/support/articles/92bd2/Test-Your-Wifi-Connections.
