I am COMPLETELY happy with this little unit! It keeps my ENTIRE home cool and comfortable! I got this AC unit because my electric bill was OUTRAGEOUS with my central AC! I have had $500 dollar electric bills and was BESIDE MYSELF! This AC unit saved the day! Not only is it Efficient but it’s SAVED ME MONEY almost immediately! Couldn’t be happier with the product

We got this unit to help cool an upstairs bedroom and supplement our upstairs central HVAC unit. The unit does a great job. The remote is a nice added feature that allows us to adjust the temperature and settings from across the room. The unit is fairly easy to set up, but it does take some time. If you notice from the pictures, I had to cut the plate that fits in the window. Our window was too narrow and the sliding part actually blocked part of the vent hole. That is why I gave this unit 4 stars rather than 5. An adjustable accordion type window bracket would be much better. Overall, this is a great unit that cools well.

Extremely convenient air conditioner, fan, heater and dehumidifier, all in one rolling unit. This will save a lot of space, as I no longer need separate units. This was super easy to set up with the included window vent kit. It has a modern, clean design that doesn't catch a lot of dust. The remote is very easy to use. This unit really cools the room down fast, and it's easy to pop the vent out of the window adapter and move to another room.

Just got this awesome portable AC from Whirlpool and at first was skeptical about it but once installed I can definitely recommend it. I have an additional room with no air conditioner due to no attic access and low roof. This portable AC 13000 BTUS (8000 BTUs) is really innovative because it’s designed with more features than any other brands. Along the cooling mode it dehumidifies the room at the same time and for that it’s necessary to attach the hose to a drainage or something (bucket) to hold the water expelled. The sleek design and color combination is stylish and modern. The control panel is integrated on top of the AC as well as the air outlet. To move it around has two carrying handles on the sides. The filters are installed on the back side and the top and bigger can be cleaned when is dirty the bottom filter can be clean it with just a vacuum no dismount necessary. Air exhaust is integrated on the back side and is discharged by the flexible hose and the window kit provided, the water drainage is discharged on the back too with a clear short hose which is necessary to install for the dehumidifier feature. The whirlpool AC can also be controlled with the remote control provided which is really handy and gives you access to all features. It delivers more cooling than the displayed on the AC screen. Can be adjusted to work 8 hrs continuous or 24 after that will resume to previous mode. A little bit heavy if trying to lift but really easy to move around from room to room. Overall I’m really satisfied with the quality and functionality of this Whirlpool portable AC and dehumidifier.

Whirlpool 13000 BTU (8000 BTU DOE) Portable Air Conditioner with Heater and Dehumidifier The portable air conditioner is on wheels, but the exhaust system and widow vent expansion are not a very robust design. It did not fit the window that I was using for the exhaust and this means you would have to alter the design yourself or simply make your own. I will make my own window exhaust out of some treated wood. It does have cooling, heating, and dehumidifying functions and claims it works in a room up to 350 square feet. It has on-board electronic controls with 3 speeds and a 24-hour timer, and a remote control. The Easy-rolling caster wheels allow you to conveniently move the unit from room to room, but this means you must move the window exhaust as well. this is not a simple move and the unit does not come with all the insulation and screws. It also does not come with a window security bracket to prevent someone from opening the window, so you will need to purchase this as well. The air conditioner work as expected and it the Auto mode it took about 30 mins to shutoff the compressor set at 73 degrees and in a room about 250 sq ft. Some of this could be due to the fact there was hot air leaking in around the window slide mount. It i a good unit, just needs a better window exhaust connection and slider.

Have had several other portable AC units over the years and was picking up another for a guest room. Would not buy again. Very noisy! No way to sleep with it on.

I purchased this product to make it easy for my Mom to have air conditioning for the main area of her home. I had to order it twice as both the first and second time as the device did not work - at all. I even called the product support line the second time to "reset" the device and it didn't work. My decision to purchase was based upon the Whirlpool name, boy was that a mistake in this instance. I will be returning the product for a second time in as many weeks. Ridiculous.

Easy setup it is fairly quiet really puts out a lot of col air.

Broke down after 4 days

You definitely have to have the drain line hooked up all the time or you will have to constantly empty the drain pan! I live in the SE US and with the humidity like it is the "bucketless design" does not work! I called Whirlpool and they simply said that H Depot has the description wrong. Not true! I bought this one because it is supposed to be self evaporate in cool mode. Wrong!!

Works great in all mode

Purchased this for my basement and after getting an outlet installed to power it, I turned it on and heard a horrible noise. After powering it off an inspecting it, the blower wheel must have been misaligned because it was hitting the side of the housing causing two fins to break and others to get damaged. I don’t have the packaging anymore so now I am stuck waiting to see if I can get a warranty repair.

It gave us an E8 error have had it 30 days it’s going back to Home Depot

Works great. Using it in a trailer keeps it nice and cool.

Hello back in dorm play football for the college I go to and there is nothing more refreshing than going back in my dorm from playing our practice hot days to a very cold room very nice unit 100% recommend
