About This Product

PEX clamps are also commonly called PEX cinch clamps and are pre-formed Stainless steel bands with a distinctive ear. PEX clamps are used in combination with a PEX clamp tool (or PEX cinch tool) to compress the PEX tubing over the barbs of a PEX crimp style fitting. They come in sizes from 3/8 in. to 1 in. with clamp size corresponding both to the pipe and fitting size, for example, 1/2 in. clamps for 1/2 in. PEX tubing and fittings, 3/4 in. - for 3/4 in. pipe and fittings and so on. PEX flow PEX clamps are the best on the market and set the industry standard in quality, precision and reliability. They are manufactured to ASTM F2098/F877 standards, feature universal clamp tool compatibility and 360 step less and tamper-evident design.

Don't listen to "The Plumbers Choice", they are myopic and not helpful at all. An internet search is more helpful as these are a possible choice in many applications.

Customers say the Oetiker PEX Cinch Clamps are user-friendly, durable, and effective for plumbing and automotive applications. Many appreciate their ease of installation and the ability to remove them without cutting the PEX pipe. While the clamps are generally well-regarded for their reliability and cost-effectiveness, some users have raised concerns about potential corrosion with hot water and the need for a specialized crimping tool. Overall, the product is praised for its quality and performance in various settings.

                      Broken clamp
After two years in service one of theses clamps suddenly broke and resulted in a substantial leak. Fortunately the leak was found quickly and cleaned up. there was no prior indication of a failure. I hope this is an isolated occurrence. I have lots of these clamps in use.

                        Buyer Beware
DO NOT use these for plumbing homes with pex. Hot water corrodes them causing them to split. I built my dream home five years ago & plumber used this product. Three leaks & two floor replacements later..... there’s potential for a water leak everywhere there’s one of these clamps located in my house. Plumbers & restoration workers are beginning to see a pattern. My home is now for sale.

5/8 in stainless Steel oetiker style pinch clamps pex cinch rings (10 pack) delivered in good condition. This clam is very durable. It installation was easy with my clapm tool. And the best use for pex tube. But I use my water line connection and work perfect to grip the pipe. Due to stainless steel I am confidence not to rust on it. Happy to have 6 more for future use.

Since I started using PEX tubing I have discovered that using the PEX crimp clamp or cinch clamp is the easiest and most efficient to do water supply line installations and repairs. I also purchased a really good quality cinch/crimp tool to help make my installations go together even faster and easier. You just insert the barbed fitting into the PEX tubing, put the clamp around the tubing where the barbs are located and pinch the clamp to the proper tightness and your done.

These clamps are great! I like the fact that you can remove these with out cutting the pex pipe like on the crimp rings. They hold great and have never had one fail of this brand and style ever and I go through a lot of them in a year. Also like the fact that you don’t need the go no go gauge when using these as long as your crimper is set up properly. Very good product for years to come!

These are some really good well made clamps. They are for 3/4" stuff and wider than what I have been using. They also have the band going completely around the hose so when you pinch it to tighten it there are no gaps. They are great for repairing 3/4" garden hoses and very easy to use. Been using these things for years and these are the best I have seen. Can put them on and tighten them with one hand. Here is a picture of the 3/4 in. Stainless Steel Oetiker Pex Cinch Clamp next to the one I have been using.

These stainless ring clamps can easily be used to connect PEX tubing to fittings and adapters. They are excellent for when working in a confined space since they are easy to use with a special plier that hold and crimp the clamps. I haven't noticed any leakage in my connections with these clamps, and they look like it will not come apart. The clamps are about 3/8 in. thick and have an opening of about 7/8 in. for easy sliding into 3/4 in. tubes.

These are really good clamps for the money. I have bought and used this brand of clamp for the past few years. I go through cinch clamps at a high rate of speed doing pex piping almost every day. I have used every brand out there. These clamps are 1/2 the price of some of its competitors and they work great. I do not have any issues using these clamps. Easy to crimp, hold well and are easy to remove if an issue arises. I will purchase many more of these clamps before I am through.

After using solid crimp rings on PEX plumbing, these cinch clamps are a pleasure to work with. One crimp tool handles all sizes of clamps, vs the solid rings which need a specifically-sized tool. Also, the crimp tool will not release until you have a good crimp, vs using a GO-NOGO tool on the solid rings to prove your work after the fact. These cinch clamps are also very easy to remove if you ever have to redo a connection. Working with cinch tools in tight spaces can be difficult if the tool jaws cannot be opened sufficiently.

I've always enjoyed fitting pipe, copper my favorite because I've always enjoyed sweating pipe. But even copper has it's drawbacks especially when you're only doing a repair. You have to be sure your pipe is free of any water before you can even consider solder. And sometimes you're stuck in a tight spot, maybe afraid of burning something with your torch. Then there's solder drips and sooner or later we all get burned. So lately I've been using much more PECS pipe than ever (soldering s getting old). If you haven't yet used PECS you should try it. I know some of us don't trust change but PECS is convenient and reliable and far less expensive than copper and does as good a job (maybe better). PECS has so many advantages and these clamps are just one of those. I can get a 50 pack for about what a roll of solder cost and go just about as far and sometimes farther. They come in nominal sizes 1/2 inch, 3/4, etc and are readily removable if something has to be reconfigured later. If you've ever worked with cinch clamps in automotive (think CV joints) these are identical except for size. There's a variety of tools available for cinching these and these have a great advantage over some of the other types of PECS products such as the copper collar that needs to be pulled over a joint with an expensive tool. I've pictured those collars along with a couple styles of cinching tools that are available. Of those, I prefer the yellow handled ratcheting tool since it has a built in light and tension sensor that beeps when the clamp is tight enough.
