The installation of the carpet was good however the communication between home depot, the installers, and my self was very poor. The installers said the materials were not delivered yet, home depot couldn't tell me where they were and eventually the installers picked them up from the store. (I was told it should have been shipped directly to the installers). The sales staff was by far the worst part of the process. They sold me on a different type of padding for the carpet but then when they delivered the materials it was the cheaper padding. Thankfully I wasn't charged for the upgraded padding but it made the installation confusing and I had to contact the store again. The sales person also sold me on signing up for a home depot card for 0% interest, however I discovered on my first statement that it did not qualify for 0%. The installers also commented multiple times about how buying berber style carpet with a pet was a mistake and that they won't be held responsible. It was rude and insulting especially since I had already done my research and picked the carpet. Overall, the process is so disconnected and flawed that the $200 or so that you save for "free" installation is just not worth it. I would recommend a local flooring company.
