Did not adhere to agreed schedule of install. Left without proper turn over of the complete work. The unit leaked at the day of install and have to call the installers office to come back and fix the issue.

Job is not completely finished as HVAC still needs to be done tuned. damper was not installed properly and a follow up appointment has been scheduled to reinstall a new one. The new furnace noise level was very high. It is hope the follow up appointment with AJ Perri will addressed these issues.

AJ Perri was professional during the sales pitch of a central air unit; however, the installation was done poorly and not properly. After several calls and follow-ups, they keep saying they will call back to address the issue and never do. Very frustrating and disappointing.

They could not ultimately fix my problem. Had about a half a dozen technician to address the problem after installation. Some never showed up. Some showed up well outside the time window provided.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Should I replace my entire heating and air system at the same time?
In most cases, you should replace your entire heating and air system at the same time. Your furnace is designed to work with your AC, and the two units should match to enhance performance.
Will larger heaters and air conditioners perform better than smaller units?
No, having a larger heating and air unit doesn't mean it's better for your house than a smaller one. You don't want your heating or cooling system to be too large. An oversized AC can cool your home quickly, but requires more energy and will not adequately remove humidity. Similarly, an oversized furnace or another heating system can warm your house quickly, but uses more fuel and causes the temperature to fluctuate. Another concern is that your ductwork may not be able to support the airflow of a larger system. A unit that is too big for your home will have short-run cycles, meaning the system frequently starts and stops. This is not energy efficient and can cause unnecessary wear and tear.
How can I lower my energy expenses?
Upgrading to a high-efficiency air conditioning and heating system and scheduling seasonal maintenance check-ups can help reduce your energy costs. You might also consider having ceiling fans installed and ensuring that your thermostat is working properly.
Does The Home Depot replace ductwork?
We install, repair, and replace ductwork as needed. Our Hackensack heating and air conditioning contractors check your ducts and include specific recommendations in their proposal to you as part of your free in-home estimate.
How do I know which HVAC system is best for my home?
Our certified technicians can help you make the best choice based on the size of your Bergen County home as well as your heating and cooling needs.
How much does it cost to install a new heater or air conditioner?
Installation costs for a new heating unit or AC can vary. See recently completed projects above to learn more about prices in your area.
How long does heating and air conditioning installation take?
If you're having your full system replaced, the installation could take up to three days: one day for the new unit to be installed and two days for the ductwork to be installed.

HVAC Installation: What You Need to Know

HVAC refers to the trio of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, which are the essential elements in regulating indoor climate and airflow. It's a comprehensive system designed to make your living or working space comfortable by regulating warmth, humidity levels, and air cleanliness. Whether you're looking to have a new system installed or get an old one replaced, getting to know the basic concepts of HVAC installation is imperative.

    Understanding HVAC Systems

You may wonder if your current heating and air conditioning system can be repaired or if it's time to replace it. The average heating and air conditioning unit lasts approximately 10–20 years. If your unit is loud when turning on and off or needs repairs often, then it is best to replace it. Newer systems use less energy. The money you will save with a new energy-efficient model will offset the upfront costs of installing a new HVAC system. Our heating and air service providers can help determine which residential HVAC system is best for your Hackensack home.

    Key Considerations for HVAC Installation

    Size and Capacity

It's important to select a system that is appropriate for your space's size. An inadequately sized unit won't be efficient, while an oversized unit might lead to energy waste.

    Energy Efficiency

Consider units with better energy efficiency. While the initial cost may be more, they can save you money on your utility bills over time.

    Indoor Air Quality

Explore options such as dehumidifiers, air purifiers, and humidifiers to maintain healthy indoor air quality.

    Smart Thermostats

Switching to a smart thermostat may improve energy efficiency and lets you manage your system from anywhere.

    Air Conditioning Installation Services

Central air conditioning is a popular, energy-efficient system throughout Bergen County. These units bring outside air into your home to be cooled. An air handler then sends the cool air to your vents. Some central air conditioners also function as heat pumps, providing heat during winter with the same system.

We offer ductless installation for mini-split air conditioners as an easy-to-use, convenient, and energy-efficient alternative to traditional central air systems. If your Hackensack home does not have air ducts, mini-split systems are ideal because one primary indoor unit can cool up to four areas of your home through output points. Some of these ductless systems have a heat pump that enables them to heat as well as cool.

    Heating Installation Services

Furnace installation provides heat in the winter months, with furnaces available in electric or gas models in Hackensack. Gas units create heat through combustion, while electric furnaces generate heat internally.

Heat pump installation is also an option in your area. Heat pumps remove heat from the air in your home and transfer it outside. These residential heating and air units are energy efficient, helping lower utility bills while keeping your home comfortable.

In Hackensack, we offer boiler installation. Steam boilers, which are also known as gas boilers or heat exchangers, provide heat when it’s cold outside. These units are powered by propane or natural gas and act as water heaters, releasing steam into your pipes. Heat is distributed using a radiator, under-floor heating, or baseboard heating.

Additional Heating and Air Conditioning Installation Services

For smaller homes in Hackensack or houses that don't have an attic, consider package unit installation. Package units integrate heating and cooling into a single system, eliminating the need for dual HVAC systems.

We offer thermostat installation for any HVAC unit in Hackensack. A thermostat measures the temperature inside your home and triggers your AC or heating unit to turn on and adjust the air to the desired temperature. You can select a basic thermostat or an advanced thermostat that has additional features.

One of the key HVAC services for home comfort is fan coil installation. A fan coil unit consists of a fan and a heating and cooling exchanger coil. As the coil heats or cools the air within the system, the fan pushes air through the system and into your home.

Environmental conditions can lead to a buildup of indoor pollutants. Our knowledgeable contractors can provide an air quality evaluation to identify your specific concerns. From there, they can recommend a solution to help remove impurities from the air in your home. With options like air purifiers, UV lights, dehumidifiers, ventilators, air cleaners, and humidifiers, we provide whole-home air purification installation in your ductwork.
