The tile is beautiful, but the installation was slow and sloppily done. I had to hire a plumber because the tile was not laid evenly in the bathroom, and the plumber had to charge me for more time because it was a difficult installation. I have already submitted a copy of the plumber's receipt documenting this to the Home Depot customer service department, which was ignored. Further, the wood trim along all of the tile was supposed to be removed, so that new wood trim could be placed. However, the tile workers just grouted up to the old wood trim, which will now have to be fixed in a few years time as the grout will eventually crack. I was refunded for this work and the wood that was not done, but I would have preferred for them to have done the job correctly in the beginning. The tile workers also did not listen to me when I asked them if they could have worked on one bathroom at a time, so that we could have had one usable bathroom at a time. They completely ignored my request, even though they could have accommodated it because the bathrooms are on opposite sides of the house. As a result, we had to turn off water to the whole house and had no water or bathrooms for four days. The man who was in charge of the installation was also barely there and mostly left three teenage boys to do most of the work by themselves, which is likely why the work was sloppily done. The grout was everywhere and in most of the places went up the walls so I had to spend hours chipping it off the walls and wood trim. They also had me go buy new air filters but then were unable to install the new ones, saying "The guy who will come do the wood trim will be able to put them in", which he was not able to do, so now they are just sitting against our wall. I did discuss these issues with Home Depot's customer service. I called them when it took me three months for someone to come back and finish installing the wood trim around the kitchen cabinets (this wood was installed, but not around the rest of the kitchen or the bathrooms) and they were very helpful with getting someone to come quickly and install that wood trim. When this person came, he explained to me how the work was supposed to have been done and that the grouting up to the old wood trim would crack in a few years time. But, I discussed my other concerns with Home Depot's customer service and they did nothing else, stating I had signed the form saying the installation was acceptable. But at that time I was unaware of how the wood trim was supposed to have been done. As stated in the beginning, the product is of good quality, but this is the second time I had a poor experience with the Home Depot's installation company (I also had them install countertops) and I will not be using this installation company again nor recommending it to anyone else.
