The Home Depot offers free virtual How-To Workshops in two formats – interactive livestream sessions where you can chat with our orange apron associates and ask your project related questions and on-demand sessions where you can watch on your own time.
Yes, our workshops are designed to help homeowners of all skill levels, including beginners, gain a solid understanding of various home improvement tasks. While we offer workshops on basic home maintenance, we also offer step-by-step guidance for more advanced projects.
No, you don’t need to bring your own tools or materials. Our workshops are designed to teach you how to use the right tools and materials for various projects. While we’ll introduce different tools and materials during the sessions, participants are not required to have them on hand before attending.
The workshops are conducted online. This allows participants to join remotely from the comfort of their homes. In addition to the live sessions, all workshops are recorded, and participants receive a link to replay them later. If you can't attend live, there's also a large library of on-demand classes available to explore at your convenience.
The duration of the workshops varies, but most livestream sessions last approximately 45 minutes. The livestream workshops include time for Q&A and participation in polls, allowing for interactivity and engagement.

There are two ways to watch The Home Depot’s free online How-To workshops – interactive livestreams or on demand. Each child can bring home a newly constructed project, a Kids Workshops apron, an achievement pin, and a certificate. Regardless of your age or skill level we have a workshop for you.
