The floors are always dirty but the front endis getting cleaner and the cashiers seem to be nicer in the morning hours, kelly and Neysh are always awesome !

Nice layout and labeling of isles. Employees are very courteous and helpful. Made it easy to find my item.

The lady in the flooring dept was very helpful and knowledgeable about the different types of wood flooring options

I have had some of the best customer service at the Bloomfield store. As a young woman that is just learning how to tackle home improvement projects, I find the associates to all be so kind and patient and to always make me feel at home in the store. There are so many smiles here! Big shout out to Dave in lumber, who is precise and generous with his time while providing such great service. Also the gentleman in electrical that (along with the help of his friend/customer) spent time helping me figure out how to do my first electrical project. Keep up the good work, Bloomfield, and thank you for providing such an inclusive environment.

The store recently received a A plus from a Executive Vice President on a store inspection. The store manager must be an exceptional person. It is evident with having the kind and professional help. You should bring other store managers for a tour of this store and have meetings there so they can experience the quality, the friendliness, the knowledge of the store, wanting to help your customers. You have an exceptional store, please use this store as an example how a store should be run. The store is clean , associates were very helpful. This store is certainly a 5 star store. We found all that we came in for.

The only reason I’m giving this store any stars is Kelly. She is a wonderful genuinely nice person and one of the only workers there who was excited to help me. She didn’t ignore me like the others. From the moment I needed help, she had a smile on her face and really did want to help. The other cashiers are rude and hostile. Nicola or however you spell it, makes me uncomfortable. A lot of the workers will ignore me, make me feel stupid for asking questions, or not want to help me. Also the tool selection is great and for a decent price. Right on. Need more garden pots though.

Significant improvement in levels of service over the past year; friendly staff; products were easy to find and self check out was very efficient.

The Cashier Maria at the customer service/returns counter was extremely rude towards me because I wanted to make a purchase at the customer service counter. She argued with me, told me I was unwelcome to check out there, and after all attitude and disrespectful behavior decided to offer to check me out like she is doing me a favor mind you she has no customers, no one was in line behind me in fact I waited in line to checkout there only to get to the counter and be told I can check out because I am at the wrong counter! She was disrespectful, argumentative and misrepresented herself as a manger and stalled and delayed getting the manager for me and had the audacity to make a personal phone call in my face on the company phone before calling for a supervisor to come to the front to deliberately and spitefully make me wait for a supervisor.

I went to this store because if the great staff. It actually is a little further than the other stores that I live near, but I have always had good luck with the staff.

Gordon and Marvin are excellent associates and are the best always there to help. More cashiers needed this would improve this store leaps and bounds

terrible service

Ever since this store opened in Bloomfield, we have had positive experiences there. We have found what we needed at reasonable prices. Everyone with that orange apron has literally gone out of their way to walk us to the product location and offer advice. Now retired Henry was an absolute treasure. Just a few days ago, Brianna was wonderfully helpful with a major purchase. We're definitely coming back, time and again!

I purchased a Whirlpool range the other day and was extremely please with the sales gal Tammy. She helped me immediately upon my entering the appliance department and stayed with me right to the order. She was very professional, yet friendly and a real asset to the Home Depot in Bloomfield.

I have worked at the Manchester, CT HD store twice, for one year segments, in 2000 and 2008. I always tried to give outstanding customer help and service in the Tools and Hardware area. Contrasted, in the Bloomfield, CT store where I shop locally, I consistently have found, over the past decade, that the customer service and help skills are sorely lacking. It's either a cultural thing or the associates are not trained nor encouraged to help the customers in a friendly and helpful manner. They as a rule, seem surly, reticent and unwilling or unable to interact successfully with customers. They seem too young and inexperienced in the departments they hide in.
