    Very bad experience with the cashier, she made me wait 20 minutes until she checked me out because I wanted to talk with a manager.No manager around ,I had to leave because I was waiting for 30 minutes and nobody came to talk to me. This store never has what you need and the employees are nasty from the manager to the cashier. Also I want to mention that this location is always dirty and broken drywall and broken concrete bags in the concrete aisle and the drywall aisle.

    I needed a nut for my umbrella base pole but I couldn't find the size I needed. Al from department 25 went above and beyond helping me. He found the nut I needed but it wouldn't go on because the threads were bad. He said he would try to re-thread it so it would work but he couldn't. He took the old screw out and put a new screw in with a nut. It looks and works like brand new now. He gave me exceptional customer service! It was unexpected but greatly appreciated! THANK YOU AL!

    We placed an order for pickup 2 days ago and expected that it would take some time to be ready given the current state of things. Once we were notified that the order was ready, we went to the store to pick up our order, waiting patiently in the line and on the phone to speak with an associate to request our order to be brought out. All normal and expected, when our order was brought out, we explained to the associate that the order was incorrect and there were items that were not correct. The female associate snapped that we would would have to go find what we wanted because she didn't know how long it would take to find whatever we wanted. No attempt to apologize for the wrong items or inconvenience, we placed the order days ago and patiently waited until this interaction with her. My husband then had to go searching for the items himself which defeats the purpose of ordering online. If an associate has no idea where an item is in the store they work for, the management should be concerned that this is someone who is the face of the company in the eyes of the customer. I think I'll spend the extra money next time and go to another home improvement store.

    To Whom it may concern, May 17 Chicago IL, During the Covid-19 Pandemic. IL is the third highest state in reported cases in the US and Cook county is number two in the highest reported county in the country with reported Covid-19 cases. After the State Law mandated starting May 1st per executive order by Governor Pritzker that stores not allow patrons in the store without wearing a mask and to regulate the number of people entering the store. When I entered the Home Depot located at 2555 N Normandy Ave. Chicago IL 60707 I didn’t see anyone at the front door greeting customers as I have in other HomeDepot stores in the area during this Covid-19 Pandemic regulating the amount of people and that everyone was wearing a mask entering the store. During my shopping experience I found everything I was looking for and the store seemed clean and orderly but there were several patrons walking around the store without masks on and one employee without a mask. As I was leaving the store at the registers I noticed three people in separate lines without masked. There was a security gourd leaning against the hotdog stand watching people leave I asked hime about the mask policy in the store which he just stared at me and did not respond. I asked the check out clerk for the store manager and Gary I believe respond and I voiced my concerns and his response was “If you don’t feel comfortable in the store you can leave”. After getting that response I purchased my items and as I was leaving the store I finally received a response from the security gourd he started laughing at me. I really hope that as much as HomeDepot advertises about keeping the stores safe and clean during this Pandemic for there staff and customers is just not a typical publicity stunt to make people think you actually care. Yours truly a customer for over twenty years.

    This store was very clean! And the workers were very friendly. Only one recommendation to this store. Instead of having the customers file in a line at the cash registers. Have barriers and have customers file in a line. Have a worker lead at tell them to what line to go to when the a cash register is ready......that way people will be further away from other customers and won't be too close to the employees aswell.

I have never once parked in that area I respect the purpose of the Lane and the Law.
