The friendliest and most helpful employees I have ever encountered at a home improvement store. The paint department and the cashiers are especially helpful.

We had a terrible experience in this store. Unusual as we usually have good interactions in this store, but bad enough for me to post a review. Employee told us he had 10 minutes left on his shift. We were looking for a power tool. The stock checker said there were 3 in the store, but they weren't on the shelf with the item. Said employee didn't look for them, but went one aisle over to ask another employee. I heard the other employee say, "yeah, they were probably stolen". The guy came back and said, "My manager says they were probably stolen." Again, no one looked and there were many, many boxes of additional stock up high in the cages. We left and purchased this item at a competitor that was 30 miles away from where we were; passing by two other Home Depot stores along the way.

My wife and I shopped at The Home Depot of Forest Lake this morning for a replacement refrigerator that failed during the evening that spoiled most of the food we had in it to keep cool. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by a very nice person that asked if she could be of assistance. After explaining to her what we were faced with, she brought us to Bethany who spent a lot of time with us to determine which product would be suitable for our home. She in turn asked us all the right questions that led us to the unit we thought best for our home in Hugo Minnesota. My wife and I are very pleased with the service we received at The Home Depot of Forest Lake Minnesota and will certainly continue to shop there from now on.

This store has the best staff! Everyone we encountered in our many purchases associated with our home addition was helpful, listened and responded to our requests in a timely manner. This is our go to store

I had bought a planer last week and forgot to have an associate price match it for me. I came back in with the receipt and Peggy was able to do the price match for me without having to bring the planer back to the store. Great customer service.

We have just recently moved to the Forest Lake area. I have been extremely happy with the service and people I have dealt with at the Home Depot located there. We ordered Bali Blinds from HD and dealt with Mallory. She was great and extremely helpful and our installer Michael was exceptional. I have become a satisfied customer and will be doing more business with HD. Thank you for the excellent service.

This Forest Lake store is clean, employees offer to assist & are knowledgeable about products. Safety protocols are visible & followed.

Everyone was so helpful. Jaime took the extra time to help us with all of our questions when we bought a dishwasher and a washer.

I received prompt and caring assistance to a product concern. We were able to find an associate to help us when needed; in fact, several times we were offered assistance in various areas of the store. Everyone was very pleasant, very helpful. I found everything I needed and found the pricing to be competitive (or better!) Everything was very clean, including the bathrooms. Check out was quick and easy.

My wife and I went in to look at a Grill, the Staff was actively putting away stock items or helping customers, so I hesitated to ask one of the employees that was busy stocking actually the same products in which I was their for... I politely asked a few general questions to a employee named “Steve” , in which he gave me his honest and genuine opinion. That is what I was looking for , actually Help and I asked about 20 min worth of questions before I decided on which Grill was going to be the best fit for me. We ended up buying a Traeger Pro 575 , it was the last one in stock!! Couldn’t be happier with our purchase! I appreciate the help as I did NOT research before I came in. Luckily “Steve” was able to answer every question (with in reason) I had.

We looked on line to see if the Forest Lake, MN store had a Ryobi power washer in stock. Computer indicated there were two in stock. Sure enough, when we arrived at the store, there was in fact, two items in stock. Sometimes that is not the case when arriving at a store.

I recently went to the Forest Lake store to get help on choosing wall tile for my workshop. After getting help the first day, I took two different tiles home and chose one. I returned to the store the following day and was helped by a second employee. He helped me load up 5 more boxes of tile and choose a grout. A third employee helped me fill out the information requesting a measuring. A few days later the garage was measured, and a few days after that, I was called and told " oh we're sorry" we don't install wall tile. The person that called was ONE of the three different employees that helped my, and by the way ALL three saw photos of where the tile was to be installed. Now I have 6 boxes of tile I have to reload and take back to the store. These boxes are 53 pounds each and very heavy for me. This is the MOST disappointing experience I've ever had at this store, which my family and I have frequented since we moved to Forest Lake years ago. In the past I have recommended this Home Depot store to others, and in fact my wife and I have had custom made from doors with sky lights, and a service door purchased and installed in our home. I did call a manager Steve, ( I don't have his last name ) yesterday at this store and he is checking into why I was called a told the store doesn't do wall tile installation. Whether this gets resolved or not, this was truly a poor representation of customer service. Since this was a minimum square footage installation, I had been told install would be $8.00 a sq. ft. with a minimum of $ 556.00, and I was prepared to accept that cost. Lastly, if you really want detailed information for those like me that are willing to take the time to detail a response, you should consider extending your response limitations beyond 500.

My 2nd major purchase was much better than my first. I recently purchased windows that I ordered approximately 2 weeks prior to this review that I'm still waiting on (perhaps due to COVID). Unfortunately, I am uncertain as to why I am waiting because no one answered a page in the windows department, not even to let me know they were with another customer and possibly ask me to call back or offer to give me a call back to let me know about a status update regarding my windows. However, I purchased 3 major appliances within 2 days of this review and the service was excellent on that day. The gal that helped me was patient, kind and was able to help me determine which appliances to purchase. I was grateful. I had been to the appliance department for several days prior researching and getting some ideas and there was almost always someone that showed up within minutes of me wandering around the appliances and asking how they could be of assistance to me. It made my purchase so much easier wen the moment came. In general, almost every time I have been in Home Depot and looking for things, someone has offered assistance to help me find what I was looking for. Overall, the people at this location offer great customer service.

We have had wonderful experiences here. I recommend this store to anyone. Product is easy to find and if you can't there is someone around the corner willing to help. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. I appreciate the staff seems to read the customer well. If I need to get in and out they keep the chit chat to none or if I am needing more assistance and chatty the staff will chit chat with me.
