Absolutely the worst Home Depot I've ever been into - and it's consistently that way. Unfortunately, in Santa Barbara, CA we don't have many choices - it's the Home Depot or drive to Ventura. There is crap on the floor all the time, carts which hold return items or simply junk line the aisles, ladders up everywhere, open bags of cement, sand, soil etc...on the floors. Nobody with any knowledge, nobody with any interest in helping you, no one to help you get an item down from above, no one to carry out heavy bags of soild etc.. The only thing that works is returns, but it's a long line. Just the pits!

The location is convenient. The prices are good. The selection is excellent. They seem to have increased the number of employees on the floor available to help customers. I can always find someone pretty fast and they typically can answer my questions. The vibe in the store is upbeat.

I would not recommend the Goleta store to anyone that can drive to Ventura and shop at a hardward store where the shelves are blue and the store is clean and organized. HD Goleta has crap service, (with the exception of Kenny in lighting, he was very helpful) place looks like a dump, short on product, short staff in custom departments Kitchen cabinets, doors and window. Here is another stupid thing HD does. I looked up a product on line and it stated that the HD Goleta had it in stock and showed the price. I went the store and checked out and the price was higher. I went to the CS area and a nice girl adjusted the price to meet the online price. She said we don't alway match the price online, I told her I don't like being played. The PROS: They did get new checkout counter for you to check out faster the Returns, area is much better.

RE: Goleta California Home Depot Store I shopped at this Home Depot 01/08/19. I showed my ID to the Asst Head Cashier, Rachael, that helped me check out and after receiving my paper receipt, I noticed I did not get the 10 percent military discount. I went to her and asked why I did not receive the discount. I was informed by her that Military discounts are not available for 'consumable' purchases. She gave me examples of potting soil and lumber as consumables. I also had this same conversation with the Head Cashier named Vance. I bought four 1/4" brass fittings which that store considered consumables, and denied my discount. No one at the store offered me a copy of their military discount program. If their examples of consumable products and That brass fittings are considered consumable products, everything Home Depot sells is a consumable product. I have shopped various Home Depot stores in Colorado, Washington state, Oregon, and even Northern California. This is the first time I've ever been denied my military discount for an ambiguous and non-documented reason. I feel that maybe this Home Depot now considers all Veterans, including disabled Vietnam Veterans, as consumables.

I don't know what happened but this store has finally started to put their customers first. My last two visits were exemplified by quick, professional service. Friendly employees who obviously cared about their work. Keep up the great work!

There was a time when shopping at Home Depot Goleta was a great experience. Good stock, good attitudes, and always someone nearby to help carry, or answer questions and find things faster. Nowadays, the store is in disarray, stocks are low, limited, or non existent, and almost everything we look for and can't find we are told is "available online" -Trouble is, if we go to the store is because we need it now, in real time! ALSO, More often than not, we walk away with items missing from our shopping lists after having wasted a lot of time looking for things in the crammed aisles or waiting for help. Employees are often new, or poorly trained, with low-wage attitudes, and definitely not proactive. Fortunately for HD, they still have a couple of veteran employees who take pride in their work and are quite knowledgeable which we fear they will soon be gone too, but otherwise not looking forward to going shopping to Home Depot anymore.

Thirty minutes to closing, I was directed to hammer drills, bits, rebar, 4"x"6"x8's, concrete fasteners, cinder blocks and assisted to loading all in thirty two minutes.

The store is cleaner than it used to be but it's under staffed and it shows. Months go by and I see the same empty boxes of fittings or tool hooks and wonder how you make money without inventory?

The Goleta store has consistently improved over the 8 years I've lived in the area. All phases of the operation are better to much better than when I first moved into the area. The store is borderline excellent.

I will not recommend this store is you have a project for your home. I have questions concerning our floor that I already paid. I called the for the past 2 days and no one answered, not only they put me in a long wait ( at least 45 minutes) , but also the line was cut off 4 times. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED

Overall, I have found this store to be far less organized and well-stocked as the store in Camarillo. But that was compensated by the helpfulness of the associate Paul, who guided us expertly with our purchasing decisions.

The store was great, no one yelled at me about my small (and super cute and friendly) dog. The greeter was very helpful - I dropped my sunglasses and as he handed them back to me, he asked what I was looking for. When I told him, he gave me the EXACT location in the store. Nancy was very helpful and friendly as I was checking out. Kudos to the store manager for having such an amazing staff!

Restocking not happening fast enough. Often didn't find items. Even when website claims they are on stock. Last 3 times I came out of the store with only half of the things I was looking for. Service no help. Too few. Or don't know.

The associates at the return desk are particularly knowledgable and most friendly. During my bath remodel I have had to return items twice. Each time the service was quick, efficient and friendly. Yesterday, Rachael went out of her way to help me and a customer on the phone simultaneously. She manages both excellently.

I just came back from the store and went to plug in my New (at least that's what I thought) Shark Pet Hand Vac. As I removed the vacuum and the attachments from the box I found that it had been used. The brush attachment had, what looked like, carpet threads wrapped around it. As I pulled the waste basket off I found dust everywhere. This is unacceptable.

As often happens to us, the most common products (in this case standard door/window trim molding) were not available. But even worse, we have found the customer service at this store to be consistently bad. It is hard to find anyone to help. If you find someone it's not their area and say they can't help you. If the app shows products in stock, employees will tell you that it is wrong most of the time (then why have the app?) If the department associate is helping someone else, they won't even acknowledge you are there and that they will be happy to help you next. We occasionally shop at the Home Depot in Lompoc, CA and talk about outstanding customer service. They make you feel like they are glad you are shopping in their store, WANT to help you and enjoy their job... not true at this one.

Friendy service, accomadating; very helpful in getting me what I wanted the day I was there. I bought a Home Lite weed trimmer which was the display mode at 10% off. I needed it before the new shipment arrived. I was happy with the price and quality of appliance compared to others I had reviewed.

Well stocked Home Depot. Associates are friendly and there's plenty of parking out front! Every time we visit, we always find what we need!

Jasmine in plumbing was really helpful. Mira in check out offered $75 credit to open a HD credit card. Gary in millwork did an excellent job of estimate on a special order bathroom window. To my experience, your service at the Goleta store has definitely improved. Thank you, Lore
