I have visited other big box home improvement stores, including one that is closer to my home. At those I tend to get the mediocre service and iffy product availability that seems to be the norm for such businesses. But the employees of the Martinez Home Depot are friendly and helpful, providing assistance without being asked. They rekeyed a locking doorknob without charge. They offered to help load a heavy item into my vehicle. From now on, the Martinez Home Depot will be my go-to store for my hardware and home-improvement needs.

The Martinez store is far superior to the Concord store! No day laborers standing outside. The store has far more product than Concord. There are numerous employees available. You'll wander around at the Concord store looking for help! I live nearer to the Concord store, but shop at the Martinez store!

I checked their website and it told me how many they had and exactly where to find them. I bought 2 pairs (one of the 16" and one 18"s). They fit great and keep my arms warm and protected from cuts and scrapes. Love them

In shopping for a few unrelated items, each time I needed the help from an employee I was directed to exactly where the item was located. I had a great experience.

Terrific store - really helpful and cheerful staff. Love them all. Shout out to Justice for she was the star of my visit to Home Depot. She will make your project a success.

The register clerk was talking on her cellular telephone behind her mask. She couldn't be bothered to even offer me a bag to carry out my purchase at the end of the transaction. I guess I was interfering with her personal phone call.

We just purchase a new refrigerator at the Martinez Home Depot. The sales lady was very helpful and knowledgeable and the inventory was extensive. Also great prices.

Kellie Oweger was awesome helping me pick out my appliances. She was so friendly, Patient and Helpful. I wish all buying experiences was like Kellie's. It's great to see The Home Depot can hire a talent like Kellie.

We had a great experience with Mario when buying our fridge. He gave us measurements aided us in applying for credit, was informative. In addition he was very clear about the shipment and delivery process. We went with Home Depot because they had the best stock availabilty. This is now the second house we have furnished with appliances from Home Depot. Although I priced checked around, from now on, I will just start and finish at Home Depot since we have had great service both in California and Virginia.

Sierra was a great help teaching me how to sign up for Veterans discount.

If you need flooring done! Ask for Leanne! She is the best and found me the laminate I wanted at a different location although Home Depot is discontinuing the laminate I ordered

Sierra helped me find the correct ile & bay for my item. Even though she did not know off the top of her head, she likes it up for me (instead of passing me along to someone else). Not only that, she engaged my son and connected with him in his interest in tools and wood working. Great experience over all.

I was in for a few items. Sierra was working the self-checkout lanes. She greeted everyone genuinely, authentically, and had a great attitude. Her attitude and awareness of her customers are exemplary. I was not able to scan my little tomato plant. She straightened out the bar code and did it with care. How nice. I would hire Sierra if I had an opening. Promote her she will reinforce a strong customer centric culture.

make sure you carry your own knife or blade in case you need to cut anything. their employees are not given the proper tools to do anything.

I've shopped at six different home improvement stores in the East Bay Area in a two week span, and the customer service, store organization, products in stock was by far superior at your Martinez store. Steve from the customer service desk, helped me over the phone and visual checked to see if the 80 by 30 fired rated Left Inswing Masonite door was in stock before I made the thirty minute drive without commute traffic from Oakland to purchase. After purchasing the door the sale cashier named John was quite helpful as well. He helped loading the door into my truck.

Connie was very patients and very helpful on everything I asked .

Kathe was phenomenal from greeting me at the door to personally walking me through the store for each one of my 4 shopping tasks. Kathe even checked me out at the self check-out. Best experience of my life shopping, and I'm 73. Wish all stores had such a friendly and attentive staff. Kathe and her associates also said good-bye.

Joe from the lumber department was very helpful and kind today!! He was able to cut the boards I needed with no problem. I appreciate the time he had to help me. I will always shop at Martinez Home Depot!!

This Home Deport EXCELLS in ignoring Customers.

My shopping experience wasn't terrible, but it certainly could've been better. I was greeted and asked if I needed some assistance in the flooring department, which was great. However the female flooring associate that helped me could use some training to improve her customer service skills. I did my best to explain what I needed, but sensed some confusion, impatience and rudeness in her. In addition to shorting me on the quantity, the item she recommended turned out to be the wrong size. Overall, I felt like my visit here was a complete waste of time and the customer service I received was poor. I will only be going back to return the item, and don't plan on shopping at this location again.

The cashier (Lia) I met that faithful night was very horrible and disrespectful.

Overall, the store was organized compared to other Home Depot stores that I have been to. What really stood out was one of their associates named Stewart who took his time, regardless if he was busy at the time, to go out of his way to make my shopping experience effortless. Stewart is a great example of customer engagement and need more like him. I was able to find the item exactly where the item was supposed to be located.
