Cashiers spend more time talking to each other than helping customers. Poor customer service!

The entire shopping experience can be great but if the last person you talk to (cashier) is mean or rude it ruins the entire experience. Front end supervisor needs to coach and role play with Karen on how to talk to customers.

overall execellent

My boyfriend and I went in around 7pm on Saturday, July 28, 2018, to get a few items, including a Ryobi Orbital Jigsaw that was $49.97, according to the shelf sticker. We went through self checkout and I noticed the price on the screen said $59.97. There were people waiting to use the scanner so he finished paying while I went to check the shelf. Another employee told us the shelf tag had not been updated but they would honor the sale price. Cool! We told a young man there what happened and he said there was nothing he could do since we already paid. Right then, Melissa jumped in and took over with her “can-do attitude”. She explained what she COULD do, rather than what she couldn’t do. She walked us through the entire process and refunded the price difference in cash. She was professional, efficient and upbeat. We couldn’t ask for better service. We run a consulting business and we are always looking for customer-focused people for our clients. Employees like this are hard to find. I hope Home Depot appreciates Melissa.

The Home Depot store in Santa Ana is well stocked the only thing I would recommend is that their STAFF be more helpful especially when a customer needs a "special item" that he or she is NOT 100% sure of ..... rather than STAFF stating look for your item in aisle 35 or 36 or 37? Those aisles at Home Depot are NOT exactly small and there is nothing more annoying than NOT being unable to locate Item(s) your looking for!

The staff is friendly and helpful. The kids workshops are fun. I find what I need every time.

I was waiting for service desk to be help with some products, but I saw 2 persons on the phone, 3 person on the return area helping other custumers. I approach to one lady she just said just wait.

The associated were very helpful. While walking to get my parts I was helped by 3 different employees. Everyone seems to want to help.

The store is well-stocked. The associates are friendly and eager to help. The only improvement would be if they were better trained on the products the store sells. We were looking for a certain toilet and the associate didn't know the store carried this toilet. We were bumped out at first thinking we can't get it. Luckily, we spotted it on the shelf by chance and we were able to make our purchase. I would definitely shop here again.

The staff were very friendly and proactive in inquiring if I needed help. I was able to find staff quickly near the areas I was shopping. I also really appreciate their ability to recognize talent with staff who apparently are part of the special needs community. One young man went out of his way to be of particular help to me when loading my vehicle. Also recently, I was pleasantly surprised when an item that appeared to be the last of it's kind or a close out was simply given to me when it could not be located on their system for a price. I was extremely pleasantly surprised. Overall, Home Depot, Santa Ana is my first choice for finding DIY home repair and remodeling tools and materials. I have recently tiled my bathroom, completed a landscape remodel, and minor plumbing and electrical repair all from shopping at this Home Depot. In addition, I have to say their tool and truck rental department is top notch. Thank you.

This Home Depot is the best I have found for customer service. Their staff is the best. If you have any questions I have found Mario to be the best, and always willing to help. Liz at the pro desk is great. If you need help at customer service Melissa and I think it is Diane are great. These are just a few of the people there, Overall the whole team is amazing at this store. Absolutely the best team at a home depot or any home improvement store.

The lumber was unorganized and poorly stocked and it took forever to bring down the inventory that was empty. The cashier Yolanda was rude and combative and treated me like I was a criminal and there was an employee at the pro parking who watched me load drywall lumber and other material and never offered to help. This was my first visit to the Santa Ana store and will surely be my last. I would drive further to buy from a HD competitor before going to this store again

If you guys visit this store, go see Eduardo , the bald guy from garden section!! Very intellectual individual!

Find the product and buy it very fast and easy.

I live closer to the Home Depot Tustin but I constantly find myself going back to the Santa Ana on Edinger store. They always have more products in stock when others are out of stock and they offer very personal service and go the extra mile to make me happy. Excellent customer service, friendly employees that really want to help.

Convenient and friendly employee

The north Santa Ana Home Depot has a pretty good selection and is the closest store to us. The store looks pretty clean and well organized. Most of the employees we encounter are knowledgeable and personable. Be careful where you park if you care about your vehicle. Some of the contractors and other parkers are careless. I appreciate that HD has hired security to patrol the parking lot where the "for hire" crowd hang around near the entrances. Even though these are concerns, this is still my go to store for many of my needs.

Watch out for Steve S. He is very aggressive and rude! If you have any questions stay away from him he will give you so much attitude. He is an older man takes care of making keys I believe

Victor V. was a very kind, knowledgeable and helpful employee. I walked in just prior to closing. I hate doing that as I know everybody wants to go home after a long day, but I needed to grab these specific pruning sheers as a gift. I looked on the aisle that was marked with the sheers but they didn't have the brand I was looking for. I left the store briefly, but then circled back and figured I'd ask someone. Victor was behind the return counter and he immediately came out and asked how he could help. Told him what I was looking for and he followed me over to the aisle while paging someone from gardening. Instead of waiting though, he looked up the product on his device and said it was in stock. They actually kept this specific brand of sheers near the checkout in the actual gardening center. He was just a classy young man who was very happy to help assist me, even though the store was shutting down for the night. I love great customer service and love sharing my feedback when someone like Victor goes above and beyond. Thank you again, Victor! Merry Christmas!

IT WAS OKAY EXPERINCE

Home Depot did not care about their customer's issue. I left my phone # and request for Henry Duron, a store manager name on the receipt to call me about customer services issue. My request for a call back from store manager was dumped into the Home Depot's wastebasket. The store manager was too busy doing something else that he did not care to call Home depot's customer to address Homedepot's customer issues.

I had a Awesome experience here. First time at this location. I will definitely be back. From the friendly guy in the parking lot gathering carts. To the guy in lumber. And the amazing girl at the paint counter.By far my best experience at any Home Improvement Store!

I have been in this store a few times and each visit has been excellent. The staff seems very well-trained and is professional.

The only reason I’m giving five stars is for Richard from hardware and the store manager Dennis Gibson for turning my bad experience with four team members into a positive one. Richard from hardware should be recognized and be a role model to others for his customer service. Dennis Gibson the store manager came to hear my rough experience and I wanted to share my positive experience with Richard from hardware as you hear more of the bad experiences than the good.

One associates bad customer service doesn't account for all the other associates. But it sure changes my mind about ever wanting to come back. This will be the last time I shop at this location, I'd rather drive a little out of my way to another store where I know I will receive the service I deserve!
