Recycling at The Home Depot

Did you know?

eco_image

Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.

This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used in composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.

LED lights in your local store cut energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives such as wind and solar.

The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our eco actions.

Fenomenal Employee”Angel”
Helped me with purchasing tools and explaining the products. Even broke down blade details. Employee “Angel” is beyond extraordinary model worker.

      Thumbs Up!
      1) Home Depot Online provides aisle and bin numbers for the products they vend at all 'Depots'. THIS IS EXTREMELY HANDY for time efficiency in getting the things necessary for the job! There is no mindless wandering around on a 'search mission'! 2) A single line feeding to multiple cashiers for checkout is also very smart. And there is none of the irritation of cueing up to a slow cashier when the next guy over has more stuff but still gets out quicker. (Dang! That truly blows, right?)

Got great gift ideas then, Home Depot will find just what we need first...Coast to Coast we will never feel lost in a Home Depot store, we'll find something new to keep us busy with the many smiling faces wearing orange aprons on to guide us to our next exciting well-planned store layout that will keep us coming back for more... and when we say our family cheer-us-up motto it always gets a smile... when we say," Did we tell you how much we love you today... and faces light-up all over God heaven... and at the Home Depot too! Even Better than the TV Ads
Just bought a microwave at the San Leandro store. 1st-rate help from the staff, good range of devices and prices. Relaxed, personable environment, despite the size of the store. Impressive that such a large operation can feel like a friendly neighborhood store. Nicely done.

Good place to pick up needed Home up-keep supplies
The order on-line feature means they can supply products that may be impractical to stock at the individual stores. However the on-line search feature leaves a bit to be desired.

Need an employee's help for almost all of goods or merchandise because they were all secured in cage.
If the store is having bad experience or losses the shoplifter is not the cause of it or the most is %20...as a retired lost prevention person of MACYS California...store losses is coming from inside job crime... salesperson or cashier is number one ... warehouse employees is second to cashier in causing store losses.
