Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?

Our free Kids Workshops take place in-store every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. Registration for workshops is now available online. We have a new kit pack every month to keep your little doer engaged. Included in the kits are all necessary craft materials, as well as instructions, stickers, an apron pin, a certificate of achievement, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Kits may be ordered online at our Kids Projects Activities page or picked up in-store if you prefer to participate in the workshop from home. Visit our customer service counter or call us to order your kit.

Bad customer service
We came to home depot to purchase 450 paver stones and went to garden center to look and was approached by sale rep Jack and we told him what we wanted and he proceeded to tell us that those were not on sale . I told him the sku match and your paper add says so and online and he rudely told us well you can go up frint and check out before he helps us. So we went upfront and paid for stones abd they rang up the sales price plus the bags of multch we bought. Went back to garden center and as we walked up with receipt he told us thise are not on sale i said we paid for them and the sku match and he continued to argue untill the other associate a young girl came over and said they are right and what they choose is on sale. Then he told us rudely what are yall loading them in i said my truck which is a 1ton with heavy suspension he told me no and it would not carry them i told him i know it will and im assuming responsibility and finally the you g girl goes lets get them loaded and he was like whatever. Then as we were loading the young girl was great and told me sry he was rude but i look it as this way i managed a retail store for 8 yrs and you cant have bad customer service and expect customers to come back. He acted very rude and like he did not want to help us. I will not be back to eldorado home depot if this is the way employees are allowed to act towards customers. Also he said if u want mulch you will have to get it but another young man came up and told us not worry i will get it for you. I hope surley yall will address customer service

    The loaders have a ego issue
    I had a loader agure with me about prices so I went to a cashier and paid for 450 paver stones . As I was walking up to the loader to hand him my receipt to get loaded up he starts popping off how I'm wrong with the price and so on and so on. I handed him the receipt he has the receipt in his hand and his still agurin with me how I'm wrong with the price it took me getting smart with him by saying I paid for them already so load up what I just paid for which by the way I was right on the price so when he realized that he was wrong on the price he starts agurin with me about my truck telling me how it won't handle it and how it's only an 1500 chevy silverado so I tell him that my truck wi handle it and that it's not an 1500 chevy silverado it's a 4-wheel drive 3500 1 ton and he still looks at me and agures that's it's only a 1500 even tho on the side of my truck it says 3500 with is a 1 ton I mean come on now

        I like shopping at this store. It is always clean, no clutter in the aisles. The staff are friendly and willing to help me find what I'm looking for.

          Worst Location
          Has some of the worst employees ever. Not knowledgeable. Not helpful. Rude and disrespectful. I end up furious every single time we go to this location. A couple of good guys but other than that, the rest should all be fired and start over with a new crew. The others stand around on their phones and ignore customers. Just as well they don’t know what anything is not where it’s located. Cashier carried on a full conversation on her phones/earbuds while checking us out. She snatched the receipt and handed it to me with never a word!!!!! I finally asked who are you talking g to and she never answered. I asked for loading help. She called for help and then looked at the guy and told him she was sorry! Sorry he has to do his job!!!! Oh, and he was one of two standing about 8’ away from me as I entered the store and tried to get a handicap scooter and none were charged. Neither of them offered to help at all. Laughing at stuff on their phones! Absolutely ridiculous and it’s like this with different scenarios every single time.

            Long story short… Multiple trips to try to get a Black Friday sale item. Not enough were in stock. No one knows how to do rain checks and then was told they don’t do them (although the main office said yes they do and should),told 6 different things by different people on the same question, some people get to prepay for the item not in stock, while others don’t and when employees ask manager to come help he wouldn’t do anything but talk to them on phone. Just overall disappointed. Spent a lot of money with this store in the past. We dont mind self help in store or some associates were helpful but this was really unnecessary. Just disappointed. Did survey and went into details. PRO: Andrea at the front desk was phenomenal! Friendly, tried to help and very professional!

              No taking care of the customer like it used to be
              Purchased a brand new 42 " cub cadet zero turn on March 16th. On April 14th the mower threw a drive belt. I immediately contacted the store to see what needed to be done and the gentleman told me I needed to contact protection plan services. He put me on hold to get the number for me and after about 5 mins they hung up on me. So I took matters into my own hands. Found the number myself and called them and wasted 30 mins of my night just for them to tell me to contact manufacturer and gave me their number ( which ended up being wrong number all together). Next day tried to call them no answer so called store back and spoke to I believe her name was Laura. She told me to return it to exchange it. Yesterday go in to exchange it to find they have put them on sale so I wanted to upgrade since the bigger was same price I paid. I was not given any additional discounts to help remedy that I paid 100 dollars to get belt back on and still had half a tank of gas in it. As well as didn't receive the 100 dollars off using a HD card and there was no effort to even try to compensate me for all my troubles. And come to find out they didn't have the towing plate or the deck wash attached to the new one like the old one. Over all very frustrated with whole experience and lord willing will not make big purchases at this store again.

                I brought home several plants, hibiscus in particular, and I had a friendly experience with Kimberly who answered all of my questions, had a positive attitude and pointed out more stock to look at!

                  From past experience the willingness to help doesn't seem to be there. It might be to lack of knowledge. A good training program and employes with the willingness to learn and be there for the customer, would give you a five star rating. I work in this industry and I hear what people say. I hope this is helpful.
