Awful!
I visited the Home Depot this morning to purchase lumber. As a loyal customer with a Home Depot credit card for over a decade and a disabled veteran, I was disappointed by the treatment I received during checkout. When I kindly asked the cashier, Eva, to apply my veteran discount, she initially claimed it couldn’t be used for the items I was purchasing, despite having used it successfully just the day before for a similar purchase. After persisting and requesting she scan my military ID, she reluctantly did so, and the discount was applied as expected. However, her demeanor was unprofessional and disrespectful. She berated me loudly in front of other customers, huffing and rolling her eyes as if inconvenienced by simply doing her job. Is this the standard of service Home Depot now extends to veterans?

    Great Store!
I was extremely happy with my visit to this store, with the exception for the fact that Home Depot considers GIFT CARDS to be "special discounts", which cannot be used in conjunction with email discounts (in my case...for my birthday). So...beware when shopping at ANY Home Depot that they will not honor an email discount if also presenting a GIFT CARD (which is, in reality, CASH). Outside of this unexplainable policy, the employees and the store are fine. It is for this reason that I can only give 3/5 stars.

          Fabulous customer service!!
The customer service at this store is above all expectations. From sales people on the floor to the cashier who helped us with our purchase. The store is incredibly clean and there are plenty of carts & registers. Great prices too - found a couple of absolute bargains!!

Some of the best employees work at the Macomb store!
Self checkout can sometimes be slow with stoic staff; not at the MACOMB TOWNSHIP Store #2776. You'll always be greeted with a smile and they are always helpful.

Good help is hard to find
Why is it always so hard to find help at the Macomb Home Depot? It seems like there is more employees socializing than actually helping people. If you ever need help, just walk up to the key-making machine because that's their "watercooler" where they gather to socialize. Even when you find someone to ask a question, they are clueless or if you need help finding a product, they get on their phone to look it up online. What's the point in asking... they just need to add more self-checkout lanes and make the whole store self-service.
