Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used in composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
LED lights in your local store cut energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like solar and wind.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers. This commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our local communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our eco actions.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances life throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados, hurricanes, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Should I do siding repairs now?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperatures swings and storms by replacing any faulty or broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in the crevices, you could be in for major repairs later. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roof panels for damage or rust that could let water in. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Check cinder block and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. Lastly, swap vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're damaged.
Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window or peephole when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
