Every employee knows where the items are located and if they don't know they don't leave you hang there, they get the help you need! Very happy and they are good at what they do.

I HAVE TO RECOMMEND THIS STORE AS IT IS THE ONLY ONE IN GOLETA. I HAVE BEEN TO OTHER HOME DEPOTS IN DIFFERENCT STATES AND CITIES, AND NEVER HAD TO "LOOK" FOR AN ASSOCIATE TO ASSIST ME. THEY ARE USUALLY VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. IN YOUR STORE NO ONE EVEN GREETS TO SAY HELLO, CAN I HELP YOU FIND ANYTHING OR DIRECT YOU. VERY UNHAPPY WITH YOUR STORE PERSONNEL THE ONLY HAPPY FACE I SAW WAS THE FIRST YOUNG MAN THAT HELPED ME LOCATE THE HEAVY DOOR CLOSER.

The previous day I had purchased the same items. I could not find where in the store it was located. I finally found a agent and he directed me to the area I needed. The lady that assisted me was having trouble trying to open the slide door as it was stuck. However, she was very helpful. The lady at the checkout counter whose name was Marsha, suggested I do the survey. She was very informative and positive on submitting the survey as I could be elegible to win the $5000 Home Depot card and that all my receipts needed to be submitted. She was a pleasure to speak to.

i usually shop there first thing in morn or last hour of day, i know my way around store & find what I need. always clean & if i need help staff is on it

Everyone who helped us was friendly and helping. They all went above and beyond to get us the right part and to get us to the section. Robert did not stop even when the computer was giving us a hard time. Also, Eric B was the friendliest person to ask where something was. Also the manager who I didn’t get her name was very amazing.

I would like to thank Evelyn in Customer Service. Yesterday, while returning some previously purchased parts, she expertly demonstrated what I expect from a Customer Service agent. She was polite, friendly, respectful, and accurate...she is a good model to build on.

We just had the most pleasant shopping experience at the Goleta Home Depot. We had the most helpful and engaging employees in the tile Department, and in checking out we were really impressed at how helpful everyone was. We have avoided this store in the past due to lack of help and the lack of interest the employees had in the customer ( not just us but many of our friends also experienced that) . However we are actually looking forward to going back as something seems to have changed there!

I got excellent service from Adrienne (from Gardening dept.) with my tile purchase, finally an employee who will do the job for the company regardless of his title or department!!

Paint department is awesome. Knowledgeable trustworthy. The rest of the staff, inc customer service desk, seem either heavily medicated or genuinely surprised that they're supposed to assist customers. Who hires these people?

Good store and location.

I had to buy carpeting for our home. We are carpeting four rooms in a large house. The person who helped me on the telephone was great. She was knowledgeable and very patient. I appreciated that. Carpet shopping is daunting, especially with so many variations of the same color, grades of carpet etc.

I often visit this store. I often find what I need is not available. Inventory control to ensure stock of common items doesn't seem to be monitored very closely. When I look for assistance throughout the stores in the aisles, it is often hard to find someone to help. The iphone app thats shows where items are located and how many are in stock is often not accurate. I've had employees tell me "oh, the inventory shown on the app is VERY inaccurate." I've had times when supposedly 20 items are supposed to be in stock only to not be able to find the item and be told by the employee "we must be out of stock". In this day of computers, I'm surprised it's not managed bettered. Checkout is normally a different experience. They have a few who are very good assisting you at checkout. One in particular, Donna, always brings a smile to customers and is caring and very effcient.

In general this store does a poor job of making sure that the merchandise in in the correct location. Finding the item you want is always a challenge because the displays are poorly maintained. Sometimes this is due to customer laziness, but all too often it looks to be the result of the employee just putting the items where they fit and not necessarily in the correct location. Today, when trying to find a specific type of cabinet knob, I went through the entire drawer where they were supposed to be and did not find a single knob that was the correct type. There were lots of other incorrect knobs thrown in there. Supposedly there were 52 knobs in stock at the Goleta location according to the Home Depot website, but I think that was the result of staff being lazy and just counting the packages and not verifying that they were the correct item. Also, it is very poor customer service that Home Depot will not do an inter-store transfer for the customer's convenience. I live in Goleta, but was told I would either have to drive to either Lompoc, Oxnard or Santa Maria to make the $24.00 purchase or pay for shipping. The lumber racks are also generally disorganized; price signs are missing and lumber is in the wrong location.

I purchased a $30 house plant from the Goleta Home Depot 18 months ago. The plant was looking poor for the past several months, despite receiving proper care. Believing that Home Depot offered a lifetime satisfaction guarantee on house plants, I brought the plant to the store for a refund. The customer service person informed me that the guarantee period for plants is one year. I asked to see the policy in writing. She summoned her supervisor. He politely reiterated that the guarantee period is for one year, AND gave me a full refund of the house plant. I purchased a replacement plant and additional planting materials. This was an excellent customer service experience.

Another instance where Home Depot does not stock the essential item. In this case I am referring to bar and chain lubricant for a chain saw. They have a multiple of chain saws for sale but don't sell this common lubricant intended to be placed into the chain saw reservoir. It was a waste of my time looking for the product and even the store representative could not find it.

store has cleaned up it's act. store is cleaner,better selection of products, AND more helpful personnel without "attitude", even if you're not a contractor and female!

This store is customer friendly, I always get the help I need and I usually find the products I'm looking for. A+

While the staff is friendly and helpful, the lumber department is unorganized and difficult to deal with.
