Dented up toolbox
I drove from cullman to Huntsville just to get the husky 4 Draw top toolbox. Got it home it has 3 dents.

So glad I was able to purchase a large rolling tote for my Christmas decorations. I have also been looking for a gallon of “Odorban” air and laundry freshener for months and they had gallons.

The best one around
I am in Home Depot at least every month, spring time weekly. Love your spring time flowers Even my little doggie likes to go as she's offered a little treat Everyone treats her like royalty...It ends up being a fun trip to purchase anything from Home Depot.

I had tired to purchase a clearance item in the store that was marked clearance home depot assistant manager did not horror customer policy why have price stickers on shelves if that not the purchase price. Frankly that fraudulent. The store is a mess products not placed in correct location with clearance items. Clean house with disrespectful employees an management do better home depot.

Can’t give a zero
Absolutely the worst customer service in the HSV area. If you know exactly what you need and where it is, they may have it there. Don’t expect any service other than, “we are trying to do better” I am left with a turn up house due to their unacceptable quality control.

Disappointed
Had a bad experience with Andrew when picking up an online order for a grill. The grill was noticeably scratched in the front and he was rude and condescending that I was not interested in taking the damaged grill. This is the first time I have experienced this at this HD.

Customer service is lacking in this store
It took awhile before someone acknowledged I was at the return counter. On the way out the employee at the self check out was leaning against counter and on their phone. Not crazy about self checkout anyways.

Outstanding Service
Over the years, I have found that Home Depot is consistently outstanding in hands-on customer service. The employees have gone above and beyond, so many times, to search for what I need, and even took time to help me with helpful information about my project.
They are very knowledgeable and willing to assist, and
there are more employees available, than at other home improvement stores. I am a very satisfied customer.

Great service!
I was in the process of mounting some heavy shelves and realized I needed a stronger drill. Sean(or Shawn?) Norman was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly thorough and informative. He presented me with several options and was very patient while I sifted through them until I made my final decision. With his help, I was able to mount two heavy shelves completely by myself as a young female with zero experience in mounting or power tools.

Best Customer Service I've had at a Home Depot
Yesterday I bought a generator at this location. Not once did I have to ask for help. Not once did I have to ask for help loading and unloading the generator.
And Yolanda, the cashier at the Pro Desk, was an absolute treasure. Her smile, laughter, and attitude were awesome. So much so that I asked her for a hug before I left the store!

SDS Drill Bits
I needed some large drill bits for a job. I was able to search on-line, verify availability and the location in the store. Spent very little time locating the items, checking out and getting the drill bits to the job site.

Go to Self-Check to Be Treated Like a Thief
I went into this store to find some potting soil and accessories to repot my 2-year old Monstera. I found 5 items: earthworm castings, perlite, tropical plant soil mix, indoor plant soil mix and peat moss. My most expensive item was $12, with the others being $6-7 each.
As I approached the self-check, the cashier (Steve) practically ran to grab the scanner before I could even enter the self-check area completely. He asked how I was going to pay for my items and started scanning the items in my buggy. Really, he didn't even know if I was ready to check out (didn't ask). This was a weird experience, but after running to beat me to the check out and asking how I was paying it began to feel more like an accusation than customer service.
This guy never asked if I found everything okay, he never smiled, he never thanked me for my purchase and he never asked if he could help. When I go plant shopping, it is an experience that I look forward to. No work stuff and it is pretty much the only time I am alone to just enjoy some peace and quiet. I don't want to talk to other customers or associates...I do not enjoy mindless small talk and do not want it when I shop. This is why I enjoy the self-checkout...I don't have to be bothered.
After this weirdness, I went to my car and put my stuff away but couldn't shake how the experience made me feel. I went back into the store to watch this cashier because it felt to me that his "help" was more of an accusation that I was trying to steal 5 small bags of dirt than that he cared about my shopping experience. I stood across the way for a good 5-10 minutes and all single, white males went through the self-checkout unmolested. At one point, 3 of the 4 checkouts were occupied by white males and the lone person at the 4th checkout getting "help" was a black female. The same thing happened when a Middle Eastern man approached (ran to grab the scanner before the customer could) and a black couple came to the register.
The first white person I saw Steve treat this way was after he noticed me at the paint counter across the aisle from him, pointing towards him as I talked to another associate about his actions. I asked to speak to a manager and Alicia (who was dressed exactly like fellow hourly associates but claimed to be the salaried manager on duty) came after a bit of a wait. I told her what I experienced and saw after coming back into the store and she said that he was following policy but that it should be applied to everyone. I feel like this is a flawed policy and leaves too much room for abuse or an employee's personal biases to shine through. Just get rid of the checkouts if your employees think every paying customer that comes through with a darker complexion is trying to steal. Like you can't see what happening from standing right there beside the customer using self-check?!? Why let employees take it this far? It's biased and stupid.
They also didn't have my tropical plant food in stock...so there is also that. Garbage store.

We called the South Huntsville store and the person who answered the call was the best trained, most pleasant employee I've dealt with over the phone in a long time. She talked us through how to locate numbers online, checked inventory at her store and another, and knew exactly how to do her job and provide assistance. Way to go!

Hands down, the BEST shopping experience of my life.
The associates at this store absolutely blew my mind. I’ve never been to a Home Depot (or ANYWHERE ELSE) where all of the associates were pleasant and friendly. Like, what??
Every associate that I encountered OFFERED to help and actually did help. They all knew the exact location of items I asked about. Some even escorted me to be sure I found what I needed.
I realize maybe this is ‘normal’ at some stores but nowhere that I’ve ever been. Generally, my Home Depot shopping experience consists of walking into a store and where everyone is too busy to care. No one offers any type of assistance. If I’m lucky enough to find an associate, their attitude is so crappy that I decide not to ask for help, or I do ask for help just to be told they don’t have that item or they send me to the total opposite of where I really need to be.
And yes, I know I can use the app. But I LIKE human interaction. I like people so I don’t mind chatting with someone that might just teach me something.
I loved this particular store, so much that I’ve told several people about it. The associates treated me like a friend, not an inconvenience. I will drive an extra hour just to shop at this store.
Please keep up the good work, you guys restored a little of my lost faith in humanity!! 😊👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great experience!
Greg from the Garden Center was phenomenal. Not only did he answer all of my questions and pose some that I hadn’t thought of, but he also did it with a delightful attitude. When I decided on a Ryobi mower he loaded on a cart, helped me checkout, and even pointed out some on sale pillows on my way out which I ended up purchasing! When it was time to go he loaded my car and did it with a smile. He was awesome and I will definitely be back to see him when I need help again!
