There are one off employees that can completely ruin a visit and day due to being condescending, but overall the store delivers on what a Home Depot should be.

We were looking for a new patio set. We walked right in, greeted and directed to patio area. Soon two gals came over to help us, checked on availability, answered any questions we had. We liked what we saw and decided to purchase. The two girls Jenn and Liz helped us at checkout and also in getting signed up for your credit card. They made shopping in the Normal, IL store a really great experience, great people, well stocked and layed out; I forgot to mention very neat and clean too. Try it you will like it.!

He knows the window stock, can work to secure the best price and will ensure that a certified window installer will promptly be able to visit your home at no cost to estimate the window size that you will need. I ordered a 400-series Anderson sliding door from the Normal Home Depot in 2009 and stayed warm throughout two different polar vortexes with it. I just ordered another 400-series Anderson slider to replace my basement office sliding door. I received prompt and expert service from the Normal Home Depot and saved on the door's cost by being a preferred customer.

The store was clean and I interacted with three employees who each demonstrated outstanding customer service. Though one employee did not know the specialty tool I was looking for, he was willing to help me find it by walking with me until found. Also I think this employee did all this at the end of his shift, to me that is putting the customer first!

The store was nicely stocked and organized and very clean. I was able to quickly locate the product I needed based on the information listed on the website. However when I got to the checkout the cashier was unable to find the correct barcode to scan or the numbers to manually enter for the price, on any of the 8 boxes of tile I had on my cart. I brought up the website with the product and price but he said he didn't see anything he was able to use on there. My boyfriend went to the back of the store and took a picture of the price sign and he was able to enter the number off of it to find the product and properly ring it up. I also had a coupon on my phone for $5 off of $50 purchase and he was unable to scan the barcode from my phone, so tried entering the coupon code but was unable to get it to work that way either, so we didn't end up getting any discount. From the time he was unable to ring up the product on our cart, the cashier appeared to be looking around for someone to come help him, so I am hoping he was still in training. We were very patient and polite during the entire transaction, and helped him get through it to the best of our abilities, but I would hope they would not let someone who is unable to figure out such basic and common issues work unsupervised, for the sake of the customer and the employee, I have been a cashier and I doubt many other customers would be as nice as we were in this situation, which would get stressful very fast for the employee.

My go to store for all my house needs!
