Great store that is well organized and clean. Employees are very friendly and helpful.

I live roughly equal distance from 3 different Home Depot stores, but I always go the #2209 store. I have tried all 3 but the level of professional & friendly service I receive at 2209 far exceeds any other Home Depot store I have ever visited. 2209 is always clean, well stocked, and professionally staffed. It's a great place to shop and I highly recommend them!

Sam in the garden department was great! I needed 15 bags of soil, which were frozen because it was only 20 degrees outside. Since they were frozen Sam loaded them onto the cart and then went above and beyond and walked me out to load them into my vehicle for me. Thank you Sam!

This store never disappoints, they have always had what I wanted. The employees never seem to mind taking you to another department to find what you need. I'll not go any place else.

This store has on more that 1 occasion chosen not to accept my state issued drivers license, which displays my veterans status, as proof of my service to this country and those who live, work, and run a business here. Homedepot wants the PR as a veterans friendly company but chooses not to honor all of those who have served when presented with proof of service. To have your veterans status printed on your Kansas state drivers license requires submission of your DD214 (Honorable Discharge Paperwork). Thus, I can be recognized by the USA and the state that I live in as a veteran, but not the all holy HOMEDEPOT. This store and all affiliated with them should be ashamed.

6:20am Black Friday. I just had the best experience at Home Depot. Greeted by a girl with coffee and pastries who directed me to the poinsettias I was hoping to buy. The store was very well staffed and each person greeted me as I walked to my destination. Marilyn was the lady in charge at the poinsettias. She took the time to help me pick the best ones to buy for my mom who recently moved into a retirement community. I wanted to get several so she could gift them to new friends. Marilyn walked me to Don at the register who also visited with me about my plans. Both of them turned the typically hectic Black Friday morning experience into a pleasure. Even the gentleman collecting carts in the cold parking lot was cheerful and we talked as I put my plants in the car. Thanks for a great start to crazy Black Friday!

This is my go to HD.

Weak veteran's discount policy. They told me I need to show my VA ID to get the 10% veterans discount? I do not have a VA ID, what I do have is a Kansas DL which clearly shows my veteran's status. A "similar" store, after checking my DL, attached my veteran's status to my phone number so now each time I buy something from them, they give me my discount without a hassel. I spoke to HD CS and they said they get this complaint regularly. HD needs to change its policy and not make vets jump through hoops.To be fair, the associate gave me the discount after "manually" overriding the system, but I really didn't care for the experience. I like HD but I'll be going elsewhere until they change their policy. BTW this is the second time I had to submit this review becuase the first time it was rejected becused a I mentioned a "competitor" who had more veteran friendly policy.

I never thought I would say this but I'm extremely pleased with the service I received at this Home Depot. Not only are their associates knowledgeable but so friendly! Liz who works in the lumber department is amazing! She knew everything that I needed to build my privacy fence. I would highly recommend anyone planning a project to shop at this Home Depot. Especially on the weekends.

Great service today. The store employee informed me that the item was in the store but not on display yet; however, that did not stop her from making my shopping experience great. She found the pallet that the item was still on, had it lowered, took the item from the pallet and personally delivered it to me right where I was standing. She then apologized that I had to wait. WAIT??? I was amazed at how helpful she and her fellow employees were. That's why this Home Depot is where I do all of my hardware/home shopping.

Walked in, walked directly to the nuts and bolts section,...finally found something I could use..(did not have box quanity for size I wanted)...proceeded to check out where I found only 1 line with a human checkout person, and NOT ONCE was I SPOKEN TO by an employee. CHECKING OUT MYSELF IS NOT MY JOB! And please dont tell me you're saving me money by using self checkout!! The $5 for 5 screws tell me different.

the store didn't have anyone available at the registers to know how to check out customers. They expected you to do - as self checkout! You wait inline for customer to try to figure it out. Then no one able to assist! Crazy!!! What happeded to customer service?

The Overland Park Home Depot is almost always well stocked. It is near our home so I don't have to drive very far to get exactly what I want. Usually, it is easy to find someone to help you. The cashiers are friendly and pleasant.

Have used the In-home service for windows and am very pleased with the customer service throughout the process. They came to my home to discuss options, a qualified technician came to measure and the installers were wonderful.The only thing I do not care for in this store is self-service and the reason for that is we need to keep people employed. Machines cannot provide the customer service that is needed as they cannot talk, explain policies, etc.

Roy (in the tool corral) is especially helpful and interested in helping customers find what they need without buying a ton of extra stuff.

For the second time in 3 months I was pleasantly surprised by outstanding customer service from staff in the aisles. The first time I was repairing a lamp, and the person not only helped me find the right parts, but helped me get the tricky old parts off. Today I was looking for a seam roller, like those used for hanging wallpaper. Since nobody does that anymore, the store didn’t have any on hand. Two guys in the flooring department (Dave and Pat) offered to help me make one out of a paint roller and some PVC. Five minutes later I self-checked myself out (their machines always work) and I left with the roller and freshly-cut PVC. My McGiver tool works great! Back on track for my project...

They had what I needed, but the clerk which checked out my item was very unpleasant to me. When you spend cash on stuff why make your customer feel like a criminal.

Place is neat. Employees friendly. Items are generally in stock. Pleasant shopping experience.

The store employees are friendly and helpful. The store is clean and it is easy to find products.

They have a very efficient and knowledgeable staff. The garden center is well organized and has a good supply of landscaping plants and materials. It is the best place I've found to purchase 1/4" drip irrigation supplies in this end of the city.

On June 10, 2019 I went to the Home Depot store on 8000 west 135th street, Overland Park, Kansas to buy a water heater because mine went out. I was unable to get help from any employee working this day. The isle over from the water heaters two employees were moving pipes and I asked if I could get some assistance getting a water heater off the shelf. I was told that when he was done that he would help me. I waited a long time in the water heater isle for anyone to show up and no one did. I had to move the one hundred twenty-pound item myself from the shelf to the cart. After receiving no assistance on the floor, I went to check out. I asked the cashier for help loading the water heater into my truck. I waited by the front door for anyone to show up and not a single employee came to help. I then loaded it into my truck unassisted. I served twenty years in the Army and have had three surgeries to my lower back including a spinal cord stimulator to help with chronic pain. I have never felt so disrespected before and do not plan on visiting Home Depot again. I am disappointed that management would allow the employees to ignore multiple requests for help with moving such a heavy item.

Great store! Always find what I need and able to get the information needed to finish a project. Mark C. is my "go-to" person.
