Employees are helpful and polite

The store is clean and everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. We had exceptional service from Ms. Keila 316 she helped us choose a great washer and dryer that would fit our household needs and was even able to get us a discount on our purchase. She made it quick and easy and we are completely satisfied with our purchase. Thank you so much Keila!!

The store never seems to have anything they say they do, second time coming to the store and they said they had a smart lock in inventory. At check out it took the cashier almost 20 minutes to look for it, the cashier kept on saying they had it in inventory but couldn’t find it. Ended up just leaving, no sense in buying something that they don’t say they have.

I invite the San Fernando Valley community to go trough the experience of purchasing materials in this store in Sylmar is so amazing time I love everyone in the store

The customer service, from the manager of this location to each and every employee including the cashiers provide the highest form of customer service. Good customer service is expected GREAT customer service like this store offers is a competitive advantage.

This is an excellent store with great and professional service. I have purchased paint for my home and all of the appliances for my new kitchen from this store. I just purchased a Tuff Shed from this store and this doesn't include all of the plants, trees, dirt, pond rocks, and fertilizer that I have purchased. For me, it's convenient, the prices are right and getting in and out of the store is pretty quick. I have shopped at many Home Depots and this one ranks right up there with the best of them

Rudy in the tool room went above and beyond the call of duty. He noticed I was in a predicament and came through with a solution. He was very attentive and helpful. Thank you for making my experience here the best!

Went to purchase laminate flooring over Labor Day weekend. They were out of stock of flooring I wanted ( not a special order ). After waiting at the order desk for 15 minutes for associate to come back from lunch, I ordered flooring and associate told me should would call me to let me know it is available for pick up. Today is 5 days later so I called to follow up. I held on the phone for over 20 minutes waiting for an associate to see if my order was there until the call “disconnected”. Called back asked for a-store manager, explained my situation to her. Instead of being apologetic she was talking over me in mid story and asked me for my order number. Almost 45 minutes later I’m now waiting for her to call me to tell me if the order is there. HORRIBLE SERVICE !!! 1 star because I had to choose one otherwise “0”

Humberto, the cashier, went above and beyond to help me. He helped me return my online transaction, to purchase the same items with Military discount in store. Turns out that the products I purchased is not a candidate for Military discount. Humberto then gave me a $20.00 discount. I was surprised with how much help I got from Humberto.

Clean, friendly environment and convenient for me to shop there because its easy to access for me to store.

Return was so easy and smooth with that particular associate.

The store did not have window screen frame

Well it's easy too find products and the store well the employses are really friendly with the costumers too anybody race and realigion.The store was really clean and neat .

Gabby L. Made our experience easy to remodel our kitchen by finding the right type of cabinets, counter tops, back splash, kitchen faucet, sink and floor tile. We expressed to her what we wanted so she gave us ideas and explained the different options in regards to cabinetry, granite and accessories. The reason we decided to purchase everything at Home Depot was because of Gabby’s professionalism and friendliness. She goes above and beyond her scope of work. She listens to your wants, needs and shows you examples but also gives you ideas which I found very helpful. We expressed to her that we were looking for tankless water heater so she quickly found someone to help us with that project. Gabby is an asset to Home Depot. With more people like her will make this store shine and customers won’t venture out to the competition. Thank you Gabby

Store is always clean and well organize

I’ve been to different locations in the past several years. Sylmar is the worst location I’ve been to. The employees are so rude and unprofessional. It seems as if the staff at this location are not held to the same standards as other Home Depot locations. I’ve had a cashier open the merchandise I was purchasing to make sure I wasn’t sticking anything in the box a couple of times. When I spoke to a manager about it, their excuse was she had transferred from a different State and the policy were different. Ummm don’t you provide ongoing training for your your employees? I’ve had a cashier charge me for an item separately when she should have charged me for 1 item that obviously came with two parts. When I brought it up to her attention, she wasted almost 10 or 15 minutes of my time making sure that the two parts was sold as 1 item as if I was lying. I’ve had a cashier ask for ID for a credit card purchase. When I showed her my ID, she asked me to pull it out of my wallet. When I did, she snatched it out of my hand, walked away and out of my sight to put it under a light or scan it. I understand it’s a part of lost prevention but she should have asked me for permission to take my ID out of my hand to scan it. For all I know she could have been doing something else with it. She plainly walked out of my sight without saying a word. An employee at customer service desk made me wait 15 minutes in line while she did nothing and yelled at me to wait when another customer just got in front of me. When the customer attempted to explain that he went to look for something, she told him to don’t waste his time like if I wasn’t worthy or deserving of an explanation. When I and my wife asked to speak to a manager, she didn’t say a word, just picked up the phone and called for a manager with a little smirk on her face as if we were wasting our time. I believe management is very aware of their of their employees lack of professionalism but can care less. I’ve had an employee get upset and rolled his eyes at me because I interrupted him to ask a question while he was on his way to the break room. He still had his apron on, so I approached him. When he told me he was on his way to take a break I asked him to call for assistance. It seemed like he didn’t want to go through the trouble so he just pointed out the Isle where I could find the item I was looking for. I have experienced plenty of negative experiences that I really can’t recall all them throughout the years but this store is definitely one of the worst locations you want to stop shop at.

James in Garden is super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful ! He is happy to go above and beyond his regular duties to help a customer! That is always appreciated !!
