In Suffolk County, Long Island we have many home improvement stores to chose from. The Selden Home Depot stands out, even within the Home Depot chain, and is our first choice for home improvement and hardware purchases.

A+ Service and staff help great layout and products always in stock

Great Store if you call ahead and ask for Vivian she is there and fluent in every department

Store employees always meet or exceed complete levels of professionalism.

Asked for help with a heavy item told someone would be right there waited and waited mind you this was 8am and the store was empty found three employees chatting they said they would send someone over never happened finally I managed to flag someone down and they helped me after about 20min this is totally unacceptable .

I have been going to this store since it first opened, even through the time it had 24hr service, in the pass the store needed help with being clean and people but in the pass years there service has become very good and the store in much more organized and cleaned. I would recommend this store to anyone.

Today I wish to write about a STELLAR EMPLOYEE you have in your store by the name of Abby. I’m so glad my daughter saw her name tag. We had been searching all over Long Island for this Global Dinosaur LED light that recently went viral on Tic Toc with the kids. It changes colors and only sold at Home Depot (or on eBay for triple the price) When we went to our Local East Northport store they told us that it was sold out everywhere and that Selden was the only store with stock. We took the 45 minute drive and the older gentleman in that department said it was sold out and just walked away. That’s when Abby came over. She was so kind. Not only did she check inventory for us (it said 5 at that store) but she also got the big orange step ladder and combed through all the boxes above the signage. Turned out, one of the smaller boxes pushed in the back had the 5 Dino’s inside. It was like winning the lottery. This was a birthday present for a special boy and the fact that she was so caring and took the time to help us means the world to this family. It was worth the drive tenfold. Please give the praise to Abby (dark hair long ponytail) For making this child’s birthday special and for being the best example of a retail employee showing amazing customer service!

I was looking for a limited stock air conditioner this morning and after calling 2 other stores that didn't seem that interested to check the lady Lydia in this store went out of her way to help me . the people in this store seemed a lot more willing to help than the normal branch I go in.

my only issue today was when i checked out i showed the nice guy my veterans id and asked for the usual 10 pct off my purchase it was no big deal but when i walked out of store I noticed my discount was not applied this was no big deal but i was not going into the store to complain about a few dollars if someone shows the id they should get the discount i always shop at home depot my store is Nesconset but i was near this store so i went in i respect Home depot for their discounts and will continue to do my business at the home depot!!

The store was neat and clean, this trip was a great trip, but I needed a grill for father's day and the associate seemed to busy or didnt know how to help me. We had to find a cart, no one helped us load it, they just walked by us. A customer had to help my son and I. And then he didnt know that the grill I wanted could be purchased and assembled, he said I dont think we can do that, you would have to special order it. Needless to say I had to contact riverhead and I had to go pick it up. No one is selden offered to get it and bring it back for me. It was 500.00 dollars, the sale was almost lost.

Went to pick up a fire-pit and cover. Associate, Mr. Longstreet, brought our items outside for curbside pick up. He was friendly, wearing face mask and gloves, was professional and safe. Made the overall shopping experience much better.

In these Corona times it is great to be able to order items on line and pick up at the store. The employee came to my car with mask on gloves on as soon as I pulled up, and in less than 5 minutes I had my items. Great job Selden Team!

i thought i already did this on the survey..i want everyone to know about my horrible experience. i had an urgent matter that required an elec. staple gun that i already had. i tried to call but could not get through, i needed staples for it. i had my mask and gloves on and found 80% OF THE EMPLOYEES WITHOUT MASKS. passing by me in the isles, even when i put my hand up and said please do not come near me. ALSO 50% OF THE SHOPPERS WERE LET IN WITHOUT MASKS. this should never had happened. your store did not have the staples i needed and was forced to buy a new gun for 38.00 which i could not afford but had to close up a 6ft window with plastic before a storm the next day.however, the employee Sean was a darling, even though he was not wearing a mask he stayed 6ft away from me. he looked all over, even on the computer for my staples only to find you did not have them. he told me to follow him up the hardware isles. these isles are narrow for one person. i had to continuously turn around and run down the end to another larger isle. i am 72..on chemo..copd..this was life threatening to me. i was exhausted from running away from everyone but i absolutely needed to close this window that day. if they had answered the phone i would have found out that u did not have the staples for my gun. i thought about going to another store like lowes ;that is always more supplied than you....but i was too tired and had to go home and do this job by myself.i was APPAULED AND HORRIFIED AT THIS EXPERIENCE. i sincerely think i will not shop there anymore.how could you not take peoples lives into consideration and just let anyone into the store unprotected. MOST OF ALL ALLOW YOUR EMPLOYEES TO BE WITHOUT MASKS. this happened on April 12th at 3.54pm.it was a sunday.

neat, clean and well lighted organized aisles, tremendous selection of everything home-related, helpful staff, quick easy checkout, love the automatic entrance and exit doors.

Veronica and Chris M are wonderful employees and should be congratulated on their excellent customer service. They were very patient and did everything they could to resolve my problem and make me happy with the results

store is clean, roomy aisles, looks like they have everything home-related you would need, friendly salespeople, speedy checkout, well lighted.

The hospitality that I received from this store from the time I walked in to the time I left was off the charts!! Barbara, Veronica and Chris made me feel like a queen!! GREAT JOB!! Coram is actually closer to me. Because of the way I was treated here in Selden, Selden is my store from now on!!! You can’t go wrong here!!! Thanks!!

When I need something for my home I head straight for my local and very convenient Home Depot. I have been shopping at the Selden New York store for many years and have never had a bad experience. The staff is very professional, friendly and very eager to assist you. As a Vietnam Veteran I also appreciate the 10 % discount I receive for all my purchases. Thank you to the entire staff for the wonderful service I've received over these many years. Bravo

Always organized and carries the best brands. Always has great deals and the employees here are more knowledgeable than in most other Home Depots

The Appliance Specialist Vivian at Home Depot in Selden is exceptional and she's very knowledgeable, helpful and so much fun to be with. I found her to be incredibly helpful to all customers and to her co-workers. She makes you feel very warm and comfortable. It was a very enjoyable and enlightening store experience.

The employees are especially helpful and friendly and there’s always holiday plants in perfect condition during the holidays and spring
