Are Kids Workshops offered at the Slaughter Lane Home Depot?

Yes, the Slaughter Lane store offers in-person Kids Workshops. These free in-store events take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. Registration for kids workshops is now available online and secures your spot at the event. Each month features a unique and exciting new kit pack to keep little doers engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Kits may be ordered online at our Kids Projects Activities page or picked up in-store if you prefer to participate in the workshop from home. Visit our customer service counter or call us to check availability of the kits.

How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?

If you receive a gift card, you can check your gift card balance online or visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Does The Home Depot Slaughter Lane offer Curbside Pickup?

Yes, you can pick up Curbside Orders from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with The Home Depot App.

Select "Curbside with The Home Depot App" at checkout when shopping eligible Store Pickup items. We will let you know via text message or email when your order is ready at the store. Bring your valid, government-issued photo ID with you.

Picking up your Curbside Order:
1. Download The Home Depot App.
2. Before you get to the store, use the link in your "Ready for Pickup" text message or email to tell us you're on the way via the app.
3. After you arrive, park in a designated Curbside Pickup space, which is typically located near the front of the store.
4. Check in through the app to tell us you've arrived.

Online delivery item arrived broken.
Ordered Gladiator shelves. Picked up the 100lbs box from the store. Took the box home, opened it up to find shelves with broken welds and bent supports. Had to take the whole thing back. Ordering a replacement then took 30 minutes because the return process was not well designed.

    This Home Depot makes me love my neighborhood
    I moved to Austin two years ago, into a house that needed A LOT of work. Having this Home Depot nearby has made that a pleasure. Any time I need customer service, the folks at that desk (bit shout out to Regina) are just fantastically eager to help. This huge store somehow has the vibe of a local corner hardware store, which I love so much.

        SOME GOOD /SOME BAD
        Juvie was very helpful and respectful I would defiantly come back for that service. Unfortunately i cant say the same for other employees at this store. The girl who was on my isle was rude and told me to go ask someone else for help when I was patiently waiting for her to finish up with someone else. Not sure if she was trying to just talk/flirt with the guy she was helping or if that is just how she is. But that is not good customer service to speak in that tone. Older gentlemen at the cashier was very kind and nice he couldn't seem to figure out the tax exempt but he got it figured out by calling a young lady who came and just did it for him instead of showing him that possibly needs to be looked into but he was very apologetic. I have not complaints for him I understand all this technology he may not be used to as my grandmother could never figure stuff out.

                I purchased a ryobi vacuum and paid with wrong card they helped me refund my items and pay with my Homedepot card which is what I need I purchased this vacuum after good advice from a tool rental person helped me out

                  Fantastic MET Team!!!
                  Leslie and the MET Team Rock!!! While in Austin for business I stopped by just after opening to check on the release of Halloween. I was surprised that Halloween had hit the floor, as where I am from the stores usually hold out until Labor Day. I asked Leslie if the items were for purchase yet, to which she replied, "if it's in the store it's for sale". Not the typical response I get at my local Home Depot. As high in demand some of the products are I was excited to see them displayed on the floor, Leslie stopped what she was doing and asked if there was anything she could help me with. I went down my list of items, and Leslie and her team were able to get everything that I asked for. They were all very positive and in great moods, considering it was that early in the morning. Probably one of the best shopping experiences I have had with Home Depot
