The customer service in this store is horrible. Martha in garden is the only good employee Ive come across lately. Ive been shopping this store since it opened and it progressively gets worse! And the parking lot is a joke with people begging for work! Why does Hone Depot allow this mess. They need to hire good employees with good work ethic. I found the guy helping me who was going to get a ladder after 20 minutes standing next to a ladder with 3 other employees chatting and laughing.

I went to the store because of a Home Depot email promising 25% off in-stock paint. I brought an item that met this criterion to the counter and it didn't automatically register my Pro discount. The African American female Manager was called. First, she tried to say the discount didn't apply because I didn't use my Pro account enough. Then she said it was on-line only. I showed the email that actually stated it was "in-store" only. Then she begrudgingly said she would honor the discount. She gave a discount but I found out later when I got home and calculated the receipt that it was approximately 20% not 25%. I feel cheated and would never hire an inept person to represent my business.

I hate writing bad reviews but I hope no one has to go through the embarrassment of what I went through. I shopped around Home Depot and paid for ALL 5 items in my cart at self check-out as I grab my receipt I am approached by a woman and said "can I see your receipt please" I gave her my receipt and was expecting a Thank you have a great day however, there was a brief moment of silence and I said Is there a problem? This woman tells me it seems you only paid for 4 items, I get it maybe she missed an item didn't see it, for a moment I was confused myself and I counted the items to her all 5 items were on the receipt. My daughter and I always count the items as we scan. At this point I was so upset. I was the only customer in self check out that got her receipt checked and was accused of not paying an item. Okay? But here is the worst part of it ALL! I must address how unprofessional the "Line Manager" was in handling this situation. We went back and forth about policy and regulations He did not want to be wrong and well overall I was accused of something serious. The lady did not count the items correctly on the receipt, she did not apologize for the mistake and neither did the manager. In my opinion there is no need for someone to check the receipts of the customer which is why it would have been ideal if the line manager and the cashier were not too busy chit chatting in the corner of self-checkout. Going through such an embarrassment I decided to return the items that I had paid for and I told the line manager since they took the liberty to check my receipt accuse me of a thief, well he could have someone refund my items so I could be on my way because its clear that my business there was not appreciated. He walks me to returns and has me wait in line. AGAIN we would not be here if it was not for the way they treated me I was baffled I cannot believe I have to wait in line, I was not okay with it and he says I cannot have you cut in line, we went back and forth he says it must have been a misunderstanding, ok finally he said one thing right after maybe 30 minutes of arguing with this guy. The line at returns dies down and a different associate proceeded to return my items, I see him walking towards me and offers me 10% off, Are you kidding me. I wasted a whole 30 + minutes here, he treated me like I was the one that had a problem in front of my 5 year old daughter. One thing my daughter will take from this experience is not allowing people to belittle you based on your appearance, race, or whatever stereotype they had towards me. I returned all my items and will not step a foot in this Home Depot. I would hope this gets addressed, I understand the company loses money by people who steal, but they can also lose money to competitors by treating your customers unfairly and by the unprofessional service they provide to customers.
