How much does the actual water depth differ from the pool wall height?

The actual water depth will always be less than the stated wall height, as you shouldn't fill the pool completely to the top. Generally, you'll want to subtract about 6 inches from the wall height to estimate the usable water depth – this allows for comfortable swimming and prevents water from splashing over the sides. Many of our pools are quick to set up, and you can relax in your pool in a few short hours.
