Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

What's your selection of moving boxes like?

Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make storage or moving easier. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it there safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances life throws at you. Whether you're dealing with hurricanes, tornados, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements knock it out. When browsing generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows.

What home repairs should I make sooner rather than later?

Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in any crevices, you could headed for major repairs down the line. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the outside of your home, examine shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that could let water leak in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Lastly, swap out vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're damaged.

Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through the peephole or a nearby window when you can see visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
