Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used for composite decking materials, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

When is the free Kids Workshop this month?
Drop by the Kids Workshop from 9–noon on August 3rd for this month's project. Introduce your children to the joys of building with this pint-sized dry erase board. Constructing this standing dry erase board is a great way to encourage fine motor skills, listening abilities, and creativity. Team up with your kids to make this fun craft while supplies last. Remember to enjoy the fruits of your labor and leave some time to doodle and share your art with the world!
How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?
Home Depot gift cards are a popular present for birthdays, housewarming parties, and the holidays. DIYers know these gift cards are fun to receive and to give. You can purchase them at our brick-and-mortar stores or online at homedepot.com. If you're a recipient, you can check your gift card balance online or visit the Yakima Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Redeem our gift cards in-store or use them to shop online with no additional fees.
