Every time I go into that store I find what I need. Employees are the best. Every single one of them.

A very knowledgeable young lady helped me a few days ago to buy all the stuff a contractor asked me to get to renovate my bathroom. I had to get pipes, a new wax ring etc.

Everytime I go to this store not sure how to proceed with a project some there always helps me figure it out

Haven’t always had the best service at this store, but this day it was exceptional by two young ladies on the floor and checker, and the young man who helped with loading. A+

During the recent widespread ice storm in northern Michigan, we needed to purchase a portable generator. From our early morning phone call inquiring about stock to driving away with the generator, the employees at the store could not have been more helpful. Not only their expertise but their kindness during a very stressful time was so very much appreciated. Commendations all around!

We're in the middle of a power outage due to an over exuberant Ice Storm. March came in like a lady & went out like a shrieking Banshee. On Monday when power was on at The 'Depot, I wandered in to buy backup batteries for my portable radio and lights. Batteries were in short supply, but as long as I was there, it occurred to me it was a GREAT time to get a battery operated saw. The back yard is a mess of limbs from the White Pine tree. I spotted a Home Depot (HD) Associate in the tool crib and asked her advice on a good battery operated saw to handle things neater than a chain saw. She knew exactly what I was looking for because she has her own that she uses when hunting. Branches fall in the woods too & when they need to be removed, there are no long extension cords. I scored on a Ryobi saw & drill that are not too heavy for my 80 + hands. Picked up a couple of extra batteries and two energy efficient ceiling lights I have been meaning to get for my basement. As we age, we need brighter lights in basements. I didn't get the C or D Batteries, but that gives me an excuse to come back later.

Jeff, in Paints, was exceptionally helpful in getting stain to match an existing trim piece that I brought in, on a trim board that I was purchasing. Really appreciated his time and patience in getting it right!

Every worked great except for the tube of silicone sealer which was dried up when I bought it must have been old stock

I recently shopped at the Alpena store and no less than 6 employees all over the store asked if I needed help. Especially professional was Brett Bonifas in the carpet department. He helped set up a measuring visit and was so friendly and informative, no high pressure sales. I live mostly in California, but have a home in Alpena and the folks working at HD Alpena are the most helpful at a HD I’ve ever encountered. Great experience!

Everybody is super friendly and helpful dave at the prodesk previously from millwork is great. All the people at customer service make the experience wonderful especially considering the computers are always crashing

The Buddy Heater is not performing as it should . When I went to Home Depot for assistance they were closed. (Holiday) I needing the heater went to a competitor and purchased a very similar unit. I will be returning the unit to Home Depot as soon as possible.

I wanted to return an item. The service I received from Tami was rude. She was not helpful with my return.

I made purchases a couple of weeks ago and had to return both. The gentleman at the return counter was very polite, friendly and helpful. I also had to make a new purchase and another employee was the very same way. Everyone made my experience at this store very pleasant.

We moved south and needed a truck, this Home Depot has Pensky trucks and we got a 22'. It was very clean, ran well and did the job for us at a good price. The best thing though, was Tami on the Customer service desk. She was patient, cheerful, professional and kind. She even remembered us when we ran in the next morning in a dither as we had mistakenly only booked for 1 day instead of the two required to make the move. She remembered us and assured us she would take care of it and sent us on our way feeling valued and secure. I am sorry to leave this area because of people like Tami.

I’ve been to H.D. stores from CA, CO, FL and MI. The Alpena store is hands down the best out of many that I’ve been to. Friendliest staff, eager to help, smile on their face, and know their stuff.

I had to go to the Pro Desk to get the amount of boards I needed, but that was not a problem. I did everything over the phone and they delivered it the next day. THANK YOU!! Good Job all the way around. Thank you to the driver who explained that I had to record the amount of damaged boards so I could get them replaced or refunded.

All is good at the Alpena Home Depot … just wish they were closer. It is a 45 minute drive for us in Oscoda MI.

A salesman offered to help us with the purchase of a new toilet. It's so appreciated when a store employee takes the time to offer help.

I felt sorry for the people working at the desk. They were definitely overworked and could have used some help. I bought a lawn mower that someone had to put in my car for me and waited 15 minutes for someone to do that. Is that because you do not have enough employees. Everyone was helpful and friendly, but I do believe that they are being overworked.

I tried to buy carpet and their installer won’t do a complete job and want me to contact a third party to do the work.

Did business over the phone with , Dennis in the window dept. I then had to get a requote because I used a wrong measurement. Dennis did this all over for me. I bought 8 special order windows. He was great, I had several phone calls to him he was patient and always was ready to help me with all my questions.
