I worked in California Aerospace for 37 years. In that time I learned that the most important assets that a company can provide is "QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCT" and 'EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE" Many people seem to look for the lowest cost and do not usually consider the above two items. In stating that, I have alway found Home Depot very competetve in the cost of their products. I have lived in several cities and states for the past 50 years. But, ever since Home Depot opened, even though there may have been local stores offering the same products, I haveALWLAYS gone to Home Depot ev en though many of the stores were over an hours drive. While living in California, I spent several thousand dollars on room additions, Ridget , Black and Decker and many other brand of both hand held and bloor stantding power tools ss well and lumber, appliances and much more. When I moved Branson, Missouri, I build a 6000 sq.ft..home. At that time the closest Home Depot store was in Springfield, Missouri. I probably was there best customer for a few years. I was pleased when the finally opened a Home Depot store there. On Friday, August 21st, I purchased two lakefront homes on Van Ettan Lake in Oscoda, Michigan. Unfortunately, Oscoda does not have a Home Depot store. There is one in West Branch and one in Alpena. Even though there are some local home and lumber stores, i chose to make the one hour drive to the Home Depot in Alpena to start the improvement process fo these homes. So on Saturday, August 22nd, I driove to Alpen and made my first purchase at that store. I purhased, for delivery, $1140. worth of PVC fenching. I will be needed a lot more of it, but will probably wait until next spring. I would like to state, that the Nathan, the gentlemen who assisted me on this order was very kowledgeable out the product and his customer service attitude was excellent. In the spring will will be ordering for delivery manufactured deck material to buld a new deck as well as the same maaterial to build a dock leading out into the lake. In addition, I will be purchasing a lost of various products to outfit both home as well as lumber and other supplies to do some improvements. All I can say is 'KEEP UP THE GOOD SERVICE' James T. Your associate Gabe, was so helpful. He really knows his building materials. We needed vinyl fencing for around our hot tub. He knew just how much we needed & and picked everything out for us. He even showed us these really cool solar caps for the fencing. And of course we bought 5 of them!! Love your store. Short drive from Oscoda

Dave was helpful in all 5 things I came into the store to learn about.He explained things in a simple manner that I could understand, which was important to me because of my lack of knowledge in home improvement. He was a wealth of information and made me feel comfortable and not over whelmed. Thanks again Dave I look forward to speaking with you when I return to the Home Depot.

Home Depot continues to move product from aisle to aisle within the departments. You would think after 25 years they would be able to figure out a home location and keep it there so the customers can find the product without having to seek out a sales associate. The associates at Alpena are always friendly and generally in a good mood and very helpful. Even management!!!

I already knew what and where the product I was looking for, grabbed a cart loaded up product and went to check-out. Cashier was very frendly, asked if I found everything I needed for this trip to home-depot. swiped my card, got my reciept and was out of store with-in 5 min.

We needed to get some new appliances for a house that we just purchased. What a blessing it was when we looked at the ad and saw GREAT deals at Home Depot. Bought a new refrigerator, dish washer and Microwave. Also got a $50 instant rebate. John in the appliance department was awesome! We love our Home depot store.

We are building a summer home on Hubbard Lake and the project was very challenging to say the least. Barb designed our kitchen with ease, speed and with all the information needed to make this the most pleasant experience of the project. We live down state and if the Home Depots down there had kitchen designers like Barb they would be doing more business. If your looking to remodel or install a new kitchen ask for Barb she really knows kitchens!!!! Thanks Barb for making this part of the building project go smooth.

I have visited this store on many occasions. I have purchased cabinets (both special order and off the shelf), countertops, lights, windows and doors, and many other miscellaneous items. On all occasions I have found the associates helping me knowledgeable and friendly. Likewise with the cashiers, individuals helping me to load my vehicle, individuals stocking shelves, or greeters at the door. It is also clean (to include bathrooms) and well organized and stocked. If an item is not readily available, there is usually someone who will help you find it on line. I highly recommend this home depot.

I always have a positive experience when I shop at Alpena HomeDepot. The product is organized and easy to locate--Store Associates are knowlegeable of the product. Many times I come in for home improvement needs and have questions--ie: how to install lighting ect. And I know I can get advise from the staff. Also I do compare pricing before I shop anywhere--and find pricing is satisfactory and competitive--Quality is excellent.

I love Home Depot. There are other building stores in the area but I only shop Home Depot. Best prices and selection by far.

Home Depot has more than everything you need, all the time.

They need more help! The paint department was WAY overloaded with customers over the holiday weekend. This store could also use "call buttons" in the aisles so when you need help you can just push it. I always end up using my cell phone to call the store and tell them I'm in a certain aisle and need help; Works! But, I shouldn't have to do that every time. The lumber section is the worse, there never seems to be enough people here helping.

Paint and plumbing dept is excellent Jeff, Jim and Gary are excellent and knowledgable

The sales associate who assisted us with this emergency purchase was professional, knowledgeable and empathetic. Our purchase was a large item; so several associates assisted us with loading the item in our vehicle. This was a great purchasing experience!

Associates very helpful with finding products and offering suggestions for items we might be interested in during our home building experience.
