Went in to make a return and ended up shopping for a while with my son. Friendly staff and loved looking at the Christmas decorations .

I needed a basement floor and the young man that helped me was soooo patient and so helpful it was not an easy job but he actually made it fun.

I visited the store at 6:00am on Black Friday! Couldn't find the "free" Miter Saw stand that was offered in the ad with the purchase of the saw. The store was crazy full of shoppers but a very nice employee found it and brought it to me. Another employee brought me a flatbed cart for my items. Thanks! My son loves Home Depot!

We stopped into Home Depot on Black Friday to look at a Christmas tree. We saw some on-line which were on sale. When we arrived at the store, you can imagine what it was like. People all over and the hustle and bustle. We needed some assistance and located an associate whose name was Ellen. This was the best thing that could have happen to us. She was very courteous and knowledgeable. She assisted us in finding the trees we were looking for and in fact it was her imput that helped us make our decision. The Home Depot family definately has an asset with Ellen being your team.

I felt that I was important to the staff when I was greeted right away to see if I needed assist. Great store from selection to staff to overall .

Customer Service Desk (Toni) has an attitude problem, rude and condescending. Assistant Manger is no better, we've never been treated so poorly, and been so upset. Both were on a total power trip, wanting to flex their muscle and give us a difficult time, over using a 10% coupon - that we had gotten approved the prior week to use. We were correct, we could use it, but they seemed to find pleasure in telling us we couldn't and giving us a difficult time. Asst. Manager's exact words "why should I give you 10% off" who speaks to customers this way? We used a similar coupon at Lowe's they were AWESOME! We will take all our future business to Lowe's, and will NOT shop at this Home Depot store again.

Seriously the cleanest, neatest Home Depot ever!! very polite and helpful staff.

Finding the pick up spot took some time. Other than that this is a great way to get the product that your local store does not carry

The Store Associate was outstanding helping me find the items I wanted today.

We were helped in plumming, electrical and paint departments.

Purchasing items to make a TV stand, I had a ton of questions and the guys in lumber and the paint/stain departments were great! I got what I needed. As I'm checking out I asked for 12 cinder blocks, all with flat sides, I didn't need or want the ones with spacers on the edges, and asked if someone could help me load. I got and "sure" from the cashier. Brought my car around and the guy bringing my cinder blocks had a trolley full of the wrong ones. I apologized, explained what I had asked for, and he let go of the trolley saying "I'm not going to do that, if you want certain ones you'll have to dig the out yourself." After I stopped the trolley from hitting my car I told him I wanted to return everything. He said "fine, I'll meet you at the returns desk'l where he continued to complain about me to the female behind the counter while the male behind the counter returned my money and said "sorry about that." I have never been treated like that and was so stunned that I just left with a wasted day and no way to completed my project for another 3 weeks. I even waited 4 days before doing a survey just to make sure I was tactful in my opinion, but customer service and job descriptions need to be re-trained to some of the employees at the Avon OH location, I think some have forgotten what they are getting paid to do!

Had a little trouble finding what I was looking for. Couldn't find anyone to help at first but when I did he knew exactly where to find it.

I love going to the Home Depot in Avon. There is always more than one associate asking if I need help. When I ask where something is they don't just direct me, they take me and help me find what I am looking for. I wouldn't shop at any other hardware store.

I LIKE LOOKING AT TOOLS AND SEASONAL PRODUCTS. I CAN FIND ALMOST EVERYTHING I NEED FOR ANY PRODJECT I ENCOUNTER.

Store is generally clean and well organized, but some of the displays in the isles can make it a bit cluttered. The parts bins, in the plumbing department specifically, were a bit mixed up and I had to be very careful that the item I selected matched the description on the display.

WE HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ATSELF CHECK OUT THAT PROBABLY SHOULD NOT BE REPEATED IN THIS REVIEW

When we need home improvement items we always go to Home Depot! The employees are always very helpful and friendly. We always get a nice welcome when we enter. The store is very clean and organized. Why shop for home improvements anywhere else?

You'll find everything that you need in this store. Prices are on line with other hardware stores - I think that the associates in general know their subjects and they are very helpful supporting customers, the only thing that needs to be improved is availability of the Associates.

If you are making a big purchase, go, there. Sales taxes are cheaper. And you will get better treatment than going to the store on w 117th. But then again the clientele at w 117th may not be the best either.

I was very pleased when I came to this store to complete my carpet purchase. Nick in flooring was very helpful and made the experience very painless. The cashier was also just as pleasant.

Associate in garden section did not have answer to question I had for flower purchase but quickly found answer from another associate to resolve issue.

THE STORE WAS OPEN LATE AND THE ASSOCIATES WERE VERY HELPFUL. THEY EXPLAINED EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED TO COMPLETE OUR PROJECT. LOVE HAVING TO TALK TO SOMEONE KNOWLEDGABLE

I shop all the Home Depot stores in the Lorain County area depending on what I'm doing on a specific trip. The Avon store has a wider selection of items, at least it felt that way. I was looking for a specific mosaic tile and there was only one sheet on the shelf. I spent a great deal of time looking, hoping to find one tucked away or mixed in another area. In any other Home Depot an employee would have come by and offered help. I continued to look around up and down various aisles looking at other items, never saw any staff helping anyone. In fact the more I looked around I saw a few employees in various areas but never with a customer. One of the things that took us away from Lowes was how helpful, not pushy but always ready to lend a hand usually the staff of Home Depot can be, This day when I would have liked some help.....no one. The only employee that acknowledged me was the cashier at the self check out. He was very pleasant. Behind him was one staff member talking loudly on her phone. Another leaning on a counter. Not a typical Home Depot.

Everyone at the Avon Home Depot are great, however there a few that are exceptional: Mike the plumber is outstanding. Mike is so helpful when it comes to explaining what is needed or how to complete a project. Thad always has a smile and is willing to assist with anything I need whether it be finding something in the store or loading my car. Larenzo which I had the pleasure of meeting while he was a fill in at the Avon store. Larenzo was very knowledgable when it came to some electrical questions I had. Tim also outstanding taking the time to help pick out all the material needed to complete a drop ceiling. Tim offered his personal cell # in the event I had any ?'s knowing this was my first time installing a ceiling. The customer service at the Home Depot in Avon is exceptional which is why I have and will continue to shop at that location. The importance of outstanding customer service is tremendous. I as the customer want to acknowlege these employees. Thank you!!

My fridge took a dive, so I ordered a new one on the way to the store. When I arrived twenty minutes later, a store associate was already at the Service Desk with a business card, my fridge, and a receipt. Then he helped load it. I had a real mess on my hands, and you helped take that burden off of me. Thank you, Home Depot!
