Tool Rental
Begin your next home improvement job with confidence and the best tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Bear Valley Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the items you don't have on hand. You can rent the tools you need and bring them back when you're done. If those rental tools just went from wanted to needed, ask about purchasing used tools. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.
Tame the Lawn and Bushes Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower rental, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the sidewalks with a pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.
Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, add another layer to your insulation in the spring, if possible — before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to get it installed correctly. Choose from a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated properly. You'll enjoy a more consistent home temperature and steadier utility bills with new insulation.
Rental Trucks
For transporting large tool rentals or anything else, we keep cargo vans and trucks ready to roll — with availability varying by store. You're sure to find the correct size truck rental for your project so you can keep your job on track. As your source for DIY and storage projects, it's easy to make us your go-to source for transport and moving as well.
To get tools and transportation for your home improvement or DIY project, check out The Home Depot Tool and Truck Rental Center in Bear Valley. Renting the appropriate tools for the job makes a difference. We're here to help you get your home improvement project done.
How do I rent trucks and tools?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You could also read our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is at your store. For more details on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool for a day?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before choosing your vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
