The Home Depot Rental Center at Denver Sw

Take on any home improvement project with the right tools — even if you don't currently own them. Rent tools, use them, and bring them back when you're done. You can complete your project without cluttering up your garage or shed with tools you rarely reach for.

Tool Rental
The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Denver Sw helps you handle larger DIY projects. Break free of the limits of old tools and rent up-to-date tools made to suit your projects. Rent quality tools to complete your project safely and confidently. If your local store doesn't have the tool you need in stock, it might be available at another store within driving distance.

Tame the Lawn and Trees Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the lawn and bushes with trimmers and rental lawn mowers, and get that sidewalk and driveway clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
To make your home more energy efficient, replace your insulation in the spring, if possible — before it gets dangerously hot in your attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to get it installed correctly. Choose from a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies with ease. Installing insulation keeps your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, all while tempering your heating and cooling bills.

Rental Trucks
For transporting large tool rentals or anything else, we keep pickup trucks as well as box trucks ready to rent — with availability varying by store. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths at certain stores. Choose the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your job on track. As your trusted source for packing, DIY, and storage, it's easy to make us your source for transport and moving as well.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle massive projects with pro equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job. From the scissor and boom lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and skid steers capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we've got in stock.

Although we're mentioning specific tool, truck, and large equipment rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular piece of equipment in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a truck, tool, or piece of large equipment?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see what trucks and tools are up for rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You may also visit our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your store. For more information on renting large equipment or tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent large equipment or a tool for a month?

Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a few hours?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the provided documentation before selecting a truck.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent large equipment or a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Select tools as well as large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to go get my rented large equipment from the store?

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment dropped off and picked up from your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid extra fees and penalties on rented large equipment?

Think of your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and you obey traffic laws. Read the manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra hours or days you require.
