Did you know?

eco_image

Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.

Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.

Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.

Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Do you have moving boxes?

Make your move easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Is it good to have a generator at home?

We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When browsing generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.

What home repairs should I make sooner rather than later?

Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be headed for trouble. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofing panels or roofing shingles for rust or damage that could let water leak in. Gutters should be clear to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Check cinder block and brickwork for cracks. Indoors, ensure ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed if damaged.

What benefits do doorbell cameras have?

Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a peephole or window when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
