Good store. Helpful employees and good layout.
I only shop at this store if I can help it. The North Hollywood store on Sherman Way is where someone broke into my truck and stole all of my tools. The Managers at the North Hollywood store were of no help and they really didn’t seem to care. The Burbank store has knowledgeable employees that I’ve come to know and that I can count on.

Great Customer Service
Excellent customer service at this location. Thank you Andrew for helping me find the item I was looking for and going above and beyond. I wish I got the name of the other guy/coworker that was helping him but I love seeing camaraderie in a business because it tells me it’s a positive work environment and that everyone can get along without tension. and I noticed this one interaction where they were forklifting some thing and how they were exchanging advice to straighten it out correctly. So it’s nice when you can get that help from your coworkers I definitely know what that feels like from work experience so again good job guys keep it up!

Home Delivery
I recently bought some heavy duty shelves and set them up for home delivery. It was around 1 pm but I wanted them delivered that day as I needed them for my garage project. Home Depot staff went out of their way to make that happen. When the items didn't arrive by 8 PM, I called. My inquiry was handled in a courteous and timely manner. They made a miracle occur and I received my shelves around 9 PM. It was a perfect outcome.

No access to dishwashers
I came in to look at the dishwashers to see about purchasing one and they were all mounted on a wall-type display in 2 rows. There wasn't anyway of opening the ones on the top row to look inside and the signage print is so small it can't be read except the price. There are a few on the bottom row that can be opened but not that many and again the signage print is so small to read without being a few inches away.

Lots of Choices
Home Depot is a great store to shop at for construction materials and lights and cleaning products. But it is essentially a self-service store. If you need help, good luck finding an employee. But once found, the employee is friendly and helpful.

Lazy employees who you can find for assistance and lack basic knowledge of product
Been shopping at this store for several years with no improvement with customer service! Lazy employees who do not acknowledge your existence in the store. Lack basic knowledge with the simplest products like caulking! Access to wood/4x4’s etc. down a particular isle is always blocked with pallets of items with no access to any of the wood! Encountered this issue on several occasions at different times during the day, week, month blocking my access to purchase said wood. Witnessed employees glued to heir cell phones without making any eye contact to customers who are waiting for help!

Great location for me in Burbank. Go there very often and they usually have what I need.

This is one of the most frustrating stores to go to.
It’s simply that. Never enough staff to get help with you need it and the staff there is apathetic at best.

Great employee's, very helpful.
Lisa was very helpful while ordering my washer and dryer, then last night the night before Thanksgiving at 9:45 I needed to change the delivery day, thanks to Chris for answering the phone and changing the delivery day. Very happy with experience.

All self checkout!
I absolutely loathe self checkout. I do not work here. If I am getting in my car to drive to a brick & mortar store, I want to interact with a human being. This location is 100% self checkout.

Been to every Home Depot in Los Angeles County and the Burbank location has the friendliest and most helpful employees and managers.
I live closer to the North Hollywood Home Depot and I drive an extra 10 miles to the Burbank Home Depot because the North Hollywood Home Depot is a zoo and a mess. The Burbank Home Depot has plenty of parking plenty of carts and plenty of help.

Don't return
You are treated as a criminal if you make a return here. I bought my things online and everything was great, but I ended up not using everything and since I came to return them, the lady treated me like I was committing a crime. She was Rude and violent.

Great people working at this Burbank Store
I had a few items to take care of today. First a return that went smoothly, I had my receipt. The clerk was very polite and engaging. She seemed to really like her job. I was looking for an item that was not there when I last checked. Couldn't find it. Asked a floor person and he told me right where to look. Seems like it was replaced with a different item. Then I needed to find a replacement for a 10 year old refrigerator/freezer. I was thinking I just needed the cubic measurement space of the inside of the old unit. The ladies in that department explained to me how the current refrigerator/freezers are built. Some doors are thicker than others and need more space to open up and a few other modifications that have happened over the years. They seemed to really know their product. I appreciate this type of selling very much. I will be back with my current height, width and depth available to me. Then I can get the proper one ordered. On my way out with a few other items I purchased. The cashier was very engaging and quick at her job. I managed to get everything taken care of in a short amount of time. Love it when my busy days happen efficiently.

Employees stand around talking, no offer of help. Stock supply low
No help on the floor from employees..too busy talking to each other. Little to no stock. Didn't have the HVAC filter sizes we needed or the vent cover size. No longer carry ceiling medallions in electric. Too bad. It was a convenient location.

Injured at exit by security device
After paying at the self-check out, my cart's wheels locked at the exit. I was walking full-speed & felt like it rammed into a wall. My stomach jammed into the cart handle & my back whiplashed. I stepped aside & knelt to the ground to try to keep my back from locking up from the impact. No one said or did anything. After standing up, they asked if I was ok. When I said, "No, I just hurt my back", they offered me a drink of water & said that the security system randomly stops self-checkout carts. Really?! For safety reasons I had to wait 5 min to access the moving box aisle, but after you pay, they'll injure you & do nothing.

Salesperson was very helpful
Tankless water heater (Rheem) was leaking and not working after 12 years. It was unexpected. Plummer recommended to replace a new one. I went to local HD to purchase a tankless water heater. Salesperson was very helpful; took his time and brought down the unit from top. I enjoyed shopping there. Sale associate was appreciative and amicable. Highly recommend people shopping at Burbank.

Great customer service.
Mr. Perry, an employee at Home Depot Burbank, provided exceptional customer service during my recent visit. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to assist me in finding the products I needed. Additionally, he offered assistance at the self-checkout counter while I was preoccupied with my purchases. I highly recommend Mr. Perry and rate his service 10 out of 10.

Home depot's coming back
I used to stop shopping at the big box stores because I could never find an employee who would help me. I'm not a contractor and I have no idea what I'm doing.
Muhammad and Jose from the Burbank store and Mitch from Van Nuys are absolute customer service pros and have tons of knowledge about the products.

Improvement Needed in Customer Interaction Skills for Anita in the Garden Section
During my recent visit, I approached the checkout counter with a heavy plant that I intended to purchase. As I placed the plant on the counter after Anita scanned it, she abruptly snapped at me, instructing me not to place it there due to some water that had dripped onto the counter. There was no polite request or even a simple "please." Her tone was curt and unwelcoming.
While I understand the importance of maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the store, the manner in which Anita addressed the situation was highly unprofessional. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of the circumstances. Anita's lack of empathy and basic politeness was disappointing and tarnished an otherwise pleasant shopping experience.
It is crucial for employees, especially those in customer-facing roles like Anita, to possess strong interpersonal skills. A simple "Could you please place the plant elsewhere to prevent water from dripping onto the counter?" would have sufficed and would have been far more appropriate than the terse command I received. Effective communication and courtesy are essential components of providing excellent customer service, and it is evident that Anita could benefit from further training in this area.
While I appreciate the convenience and quality of products offered at this store's garden section, I urge management to consider providing additional training and support to employees like Anita, who may need assistance in developing their soft skills. Improving interpersonal communication will not only enhance the overall customer experience but also contribute to a more positive and welcoming environment for all patrons.
