Tools & Truck Rentals at The Home Depot Near You

The Home Depot Rental Center at Copperfield

Tool Rental
Start your DIY project with confidence and the correct tools. Let The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Copperfield expand your toolbelt with the items you don't have at home. Rent the tools you need and return them when you're done. If it makes sense to have those rental tools around all the time, we have used tools available for purchase. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.

Tame the Greenery and Lawn Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the lawn and bushes with rental lawn mowers and string trimmers, and get that driveway clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, upgrade your insulation in the spring — before it gets dangerously hot in your attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it correctly. Decide between a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated well. You'll enjoy a more consistent home temperature and steadier utility bills with new insulation.

Rental Trucks
If it's time to get going on your DIY project but you need to rent a truck to do it, come to The Home Depot Truck Rental Center. From flatbed and pickup trucks to box trucks and Penske moving trucks, we've got the transportation you need. Get the correct size for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. Rent a truck to check off more DIY jobs from your list. Check with your local rental center for availability, as it is subject to change.

Large Equipment Rentals
Complete expansive projects with professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job. From the boom lifts and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're mentioning specific truck, large equipment, and tool rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular piece of equipment in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent large equipment, trucks, or tools?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You can also visit our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more details on renting tools or large equipment, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent a tool or large equipment for a week?

You can rent a tool or large equipment for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a cargo van, box truck, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the terms and conditions before selecting a vehicle.

Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent large equipment or a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

How do I get my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered to your job site for a reasonable cost — out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you. Speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

What are some ways to avoid penalties and extra fees on my large equipment rentals?

Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and you obey traffic laws. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
