Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before selecting a vehicle.

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that level. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered and picked up from your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.

Think of your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and you obey traffic laws. Read the manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get dinged with a late fee.
